It is so pleasing to hear a president speak in complete sentences.

Fleischer bluntly told Knoller, "bottom line -- the speech was balanced and that was what was wrong with it. American policy should not be balanced. It should side with those who fight terror.?
**********************************

Well, Ari is right about one thing. The Bush administration was definately "unbalanced." Considering the mess the Bush administration left us in, I think their spokespersons should just sit down and shut up. We aren't interested in anything they have to say.

Dear Mr. Fleischer;

Your fifteen minutes of fame have expired. Sit down and shut-up.

Yours Disrespectfully,

John

So since the great apologist has spoken, are we now going to hear an apology from Iran for taking over our embassy in 79 or for nationalizing industries owned bu US companies, or are we going to hear an apology from Saudi's for 9/11? I don't think so. If they want to apologies than we can talk. Obama has no business apologizing for the historical action of the US. Our nation has always reserved the right to protect the interests of citizens and economic conditions of the US. Overthrowing the govt of Iran after they nationalized the oil industry was such an action. Today we use laywers such as in Venezuela. Back then we used force. No apology necessary- that's the way it was done.

Fleischer was the front man for a loser. His opinions carry no weight since everything he put out to the media was BS. Of course, he is suddenly an expert.

I think we all remember how much of a slime ball Ari Fleischer was. As W's press secretary, he had no problem feeding daily lies to the american people.

Obama's Speech is TOO Balanced - So that Means Obama is Balanced

Than one needs to conclude that

Bush's Speeches were Un-Balanced - Like Bush.

Conformation from a Bushiite.

So, a member of the old administration blames the new president to be different from them.
He basically criticizes Obama to do what he said he would do, in essence, what he was elected for.
Typical.
What else is new?

Why in the world would anyone care WHAT any former Bush-niks think?

Paying attention to them and allowing them to ruin things got us where we are today.

Fortunately we now have the Obama Administration to clean up the reeking, foul mess they left for us.

Can't wait for next year's elections - 65/35 split in the Senate!

YES WE CAN!

First, at least Ari acknowledged it was a good speech not just "well delivered" as Liz Cheney says. As for the substance of Ari's comments, if the U.S. goal is simply to show who has suffered the most than Ari has a point. However, the suffering by Israelis won't stop if the world acknowledges that Israel has suffered the most. The greatest assistance we can give to Israel is to take away the biggest weapon being used against them: Palestine for Palestinians.
An unbiased negotiator on a two-state solution is the best course of action. Just as any Arab nation has little credibility with Israel (certainly understandable), so too would the U.S. if we took sides with regards to the two-state process.
Let's remember, the U.S. is not the spokesperson for Israel, Israelis are. We defend Israel just as we defended Europe against the Nazi's but, european countries are responcible for what they do and how they communicate and frame the debate of their actions to the world just as we are for our actions. We can certainly help
just as President Obama did this morning when he spoke about the holocaust but, ultimately it is up to the Israelis.
