- Why isn''t the dead kid''s dad under indictment? He''s the one who took the kid to the death show and his eight year old child play with a friggin'' Uzi.
What about child endangerment? In any other country, the kid''s father would be arrested and any remaining children would be taken into care. - Reply to this comment
- Because you are missing the required grey matter, that''''s why! case closed.

Wow, I had no idea I was talking to such a total genius! Oh, we must all heap our praises to you oh wise one!
I guess I should have expected this. I mean, obviously hunters are maniacal killers, and people who defend themselves are justly labeled criminals as well. Woe to he who hath the foolishness to defend himself from bodily harm! Victims, heal thyselves! Make way for the criminal, for he hath suffered unjustly the pangs of law and civility; no, let him wrest thy property and life away! Henceforth, let us throw away the implements of destruction, and pray upon our knees that the criminals not take notice of this and use it to our detriment!
Methinks the vertiable fool hath a mind to steal awy my rights. - Reply to this comment

- There is no need for a gun if you own a mind.

Be sure to pass that along to the mugger or car jacker next time.
My sister has a JD from Columbia; she got a 178 on the LSAT. That didn''t stop a 16 year old lunatic from car-jacking her and stealing all of her money. - Reply to this comment

If you own a mind, then you plan and are prepared. Some individuals are capable of determining what is necessary. - Reply to this comment
- If more men thought with their p__is instead of their gun the world would be the same I guess.

- I see all the shaky quaky freaks for removing the 2nd amendment and removing guns from society are on here now. Some of your messages still show sure signs that you don''t have a clue yet. Absolutely none of your arguments against guns is holding any water. Just keep spouting it off. The rest of us are quickly learning to ignore it.

Who are you, Chuck Norris? Good thing you''''re so awesome you can just kick any bad guy''''s a$$ with your bare hands. I guess smaller, older, or disabled people should just "man up" and learn to be as great as you. I carry a gun because I''''m not willing to let some thug take my life and I''''m too small to survive a fistfight with your average violent criminal. I guess that''''s not "cool" in your sheltered little world. Good thing I don''''t need your approval, and neither do the 2 million people who defend themselves with firearms every year.

Good point, Amphiuma1. I earned a black belt once. But that was 15 years and 25 pounds ago. The best it could do for me now would be one on one with someone as clumsy as I have become. I really like the Ultra Lite line by Taurus. 5 shot .38+P. Nobody ever knows I have it on me. Couple of speed loaders with me and I feel safe. Might take all five rounds to stop one big boy, but I''m willing to take that chance. - Reply to this comment
- I don''t know why it isn''t mentioned, but where is the mother? I am sure the father is going through a lot with this experience (terribly understated), but what about the mother? I am sure that she is going through much more, considering the father was the one who was with the son.

I''d be happy to. Tell me, what would he do? What would he do?

"A Micro Uzi is made by and for the Israeli Armed Forces and is intended to meet the operational needs of Israeli Special Forces," Bennett said, noting the weapon has a rate of fire of 1,700 round per minute. "It is not a hunting weapon."

Depends on what you are hunting...ask the Israeli Special Forces. - Reply to this comment
- We are well into a time when we need to have guns for protection. But they don''t have to be sophisticated. A .357 revolver is fine to carry for personal protection and to keep in a car. For home defense the old fashioned double barrel shotgun will neutralize any two thugs breaking in. If there are more than two intruders, the others will run when they see the first two get splattered.

- Guns don''t kill people. Except of course in this particular case. If the kid was playing with a Tonka truck, even if he''d run over himself, chances are he would have survived the oreal.

- I am not a control person, I actively support our constitutional right to bear arms. That said, this kid''s death is on the hands of the accused. They were entirely negligent in allowing an Uzi to even be in the hands of an 8 year old. Supervision was promised, not deliverd. No 15 year old should have been supervising this kid....period! It is a tragic accident but one that could have been avoided. Some type of punishment, either criminal or civil or both is due here.
