I am black. And if Obama was running for the Republican party I would more than likely not be voting for him. It has been my past experience that I benefit more, not as a black person, but as a working, home owning American, from the Democrats. The Republican party never benefits me personally. - Reply to this comment
- MR22581,
I personally don''t think you have a clue. You have nothing but negative rubbish to say about Obama. You are not convincing anyone of anything. You continue non-stop to bring up issues and lies that have been thoroughly investigated and unfounded. Why don''t you talk about some of the issues that you have heard Obama speak about. Let us know that you have legal grounds to stand on. You don''t, you probably don''t even watch the interviews, you just hang on to the lies. - Reply to this comment
- Wrong, the correct headline is "Obama trys to defend his lack of experience." Who ever said that he had the requisite experience or any semblance of a record of accomplishment. That is why democrats will join with independents and republicans in electing John because of his experience, record of accomplishments, and the trust of all Americans.

- If 90% of blacks usually vote for the democratic party, what if Obama was running as a republican, would the dems still get 90% of that vote?

Is this early voting in 40 states new?
Is it designed to make one candidate look better than the other BEFORE the debates?
Is there an independent monitor watching how these early votes are getting counted?
Is this how 2008 election may get rigged?

- Who cares if Obama smokes? What does that really have to do with running the country? You are really stooping low with that one. Is there a law that says the president or presidential candidate cannot smoke? So be quiet. We hear you cry baby and you are very petty.

- lalabradle,
If fact, 40 years ago people who are Republican today were also voting Democratic. They stopped because of the Voting Rights Act of 1964. They might still be a racist as well.
If fact, the whole country would be Democratic (excluding maybe 2% of it) if not for the racists. - Reply to this comment
- lalabradle,
Blacks vote 90% Democratic. What is more telling are the whites who would otherwise have voted for a Democrat crossing over to vote for McCain. You might be a racist if you do that. - Reply to this comment

McCain supporters are the only ones to bring up race all the time. Your kind is going like the dinosaurs. Good riddance! - Reply to this comment

Not all blacks are voting for Obama, but if you look at past elections, most blacks are Democrats. Yes we are proud of having someone finally after an eternity, to have someone we can relate to. I just laugh because the media and the whites are saying that blacks are only voting for Obama because he is black. Are you and the media saying that blacks are not intelligent enough to watch the interviews and make a sound decision other than the race of the candidate. That says a lot about America, you still think blacks are not as smart as white America. We are all Americans. There is no difference in you voting for McCain because you can relate to him, a lot of whites are not voting for Obama because he''s black. So what is the difference? You Republicans portray a country of equality, but you really don''t mean that. The Republican convention did not show a diverse America. At least Obama will bring us closer to what we try to convince the rest of the world (as if they don''t really know). The great America is supposed to be diverse, inside there is no diversity or equality. The people that are saying 95% of blacks are voting for Obama are not black. I am black, and I know nobody at work, home or in my family who has been asked that question. So I don''t know where they are getting that from. - Reply to this comment
- Question: Obama belives in pay as you go, where if you want a new program, you have to cut spending on an existing program to fund it. But isn''t it also true that you can''t eliminate an existing federally funded program for the sake of saving the tax payers money? That if a program is elminated, the funds would be directed to another program and not put back into the Treasury? Is my thinking wrong? Can someone answer this for me - I''m being serious. Thanks!

- Mr. Kroft, You point out that you believe if Obama losses it will because white people are not willing to vote for a black person. Tell me, is it racist that over 95 % of the black vote is going to Obama? If you believe it is racist for one side, than it must be racist for the other as well. You should not belittle the voters by calling them racist for voting for the person who best relates to them. You want this to be a racist story Mr. Kroft and shame on you for being the low life reporter that you are for doing so. I am white and I am voting for McCain and Palin because they represent who I am and what I believe in. I am one of those gun toting, church going, bitter small town Americans who has a typical white person for a mother (all Obama''s words). Think about this, most Republicans will vote for their party, so that is not racist. Your party (the democrats) seems to have a problem with white men and white woman voting for a black man. In addition, blacks in your party will not vote for McCain because he is white. Blacks in your party are voting for Obama simply because he is black. Now whose party has the racist in it?

- Isn''t it funny how the only thing that the Repubs on this site can do is make fun of Obama and say disgusting things? They don''t have a clue about the issues so they attack him personally. These are the very people who''ve brought us the past 8 years. If only they were the only ones who had to bail out Wall Street since my friends and I did not vote for the village idiot we now have as our President. Looking at all of these comments, the first thing Obama should do as president is require an IQ test before people vote.

I know deep inside you also think McCain is an idiot. You just need to pretend to save face. - Reply to this comment
- guyfrompa49,
Obama did really well during the primary debates...much better than Mccain.
Do you remember this?

- It''s interesting that some of you people can only justify your choice of McCain by slandering Obama. That''s because you can''t give any positive points to your candidate, you can''t talk about anything that he has really done accept be a prisoner of war. What else makes him so a good choice. Come up with better answers than Obama is muslim or Obama is not American, you sound like a nut case. People who are truly voting for changes in America are the ones who are truly watching both candidates and have enough sense to vote for their choice based on facts, not fiction. You can throw everything out there from drugs to associates to experience, unless you present facts, nobody is listening. It just shows us all how immature and whiny grownups can be.

- Obama is going to run circles around McCain and Palin put together. They can''t do a good interview without debate, so I am sure we are going to see them riding the slow boat that they are on even more up against Obama. I think you people that seem to see something in them that the rest of us rational people don''t are on the same boat. It''s ashame though, because you people actually think you are right. I''ll have my popcorn, beer and tissue paper (I''m sure I will laugh so hard my eyes will water) watching McCain stumble, bumble and drop the ball. Let''s see if we can even get any straight answers from the Repubs.

When this election is over and Obama is president. I would love see what you will have to say then. Because it''s people like you who hold on to hatred and fear of the unknown. Change is coming, and we know it won''t be McCain, he does not represent any form of change. And you people would want Palin and her misfit family to represent America, she does not represent me. - Reply to this comment
