Says Georgia Will Join NATO; Kremlin Says VP Is Building "Anti-Russian Axis"
- The Bush/Cheney/Saudia crime syndicate lies to us 962 times to wage their war for profit, murdering a million humans, and now they object to this? Ha Ha. Thats like Hitler objecting to murdering the jews. Crazy!
Of course they do tho, they haven''t figured out how to make billions from it, so they rail against it.
When do the trials for war crimes and genocide start?
Any who support the Rethuglicans, Bush/Cheney, and their cold-blooded murderer conspiritors, support terrorism and are certainly not christians, unless they are deluded by the devil himself.
Renounce this evil, vote all Rep''s out on their ears. Then watch Obama who''ll surely be following in their footsteps regardless of all his flowery rhetoric. - Reply to this comment

- The presence of such a leading American neo-conservative on Russia%u2019s doorstep has infuriated the Kremlin. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has already accused the neo-conservatives of encouraging Georgia to attack the breakaway territory of North Ossetia last month, in the knowledge that Russia would retaliate, as part of a ploy aimed at securing the election of Senator John McCain as president.

I should be ashamed that it made me laugh... - Reply to this comment
- Vice President *** Cheney has condemned Russia for what he says is an "illegitimate, unilateral attempt" to change Georgia''s borders by force.
But if Richard Cheney goes in to Iraq by force for their oil, based on illegitimate intelligence, that''s DIFFERENT! - Reply to this comment

- Old Uncle Richard does tell some tall tales. Tries to say what Russia did was BAD. What he and George did to the innocent women and children of Iraq, and their Afghan crusade, was done with pure Christian love of our fellow humans.

- "Georgia has a strong economic foundation and leaders with an impressive record of reform,"
thats an absolutely incredible statement. There isn''t any truth to it, unless you mean backtracking on reform, suppressing political foes, and systematically oppressing ethnic minorities somehow translates in George Bush''s mind to be ''impressive'' - Reply to this comment
- November can''t come fast enough! I''m sick of seeing this administration connive their way into no-win situations.

- Yes, samsel3, it is all about oil. The Russian oil monopoly Gazprom (lots of shares owned by Russia''s politicians) would like to be the only supplier the Europeans depend on. But the EU, especially Germany, and Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan want several suppliers and several supply routes to choose from. (The southern flank of Hitler''s invasion of Russia was all about the same oil and oil-supply routes almost 70 years ago). Any attempt to blame the US for this ongoing struggle is historically flawed.
BTW, if you''re interested, there were pro-British and pro-German parties in Iraq and the pro-Germans kicked the British out in ''40 or ''41--and it was all about oil then too. Anybody who believes that US politicians created these issues in 2003 has some catching up to do. - Reply to this comment

- The truth is, this is all about control of oil & gas pipelines. The BTC oil pipeline 35 miles from South Ossetia & the Nabucco natural gas pipeline in NW Georgia supply markets in the European Union. In November 2003 the World Bank funded the BTC pipeline to circumvent Russian pipelines supplying europe.
Shareholders in the BTC pipeline are: British Petroleum, AzBTC, Chevron, Statoil, TPAO, ENI, Total, Itochu, INPEX, ConocoPhillips & Amerada Hess.
Russia is the second largest supplier of oil & gas on the planet.
After loosing Iraqi oil to Operation Iraqi Freedom, they negotiated supplies with Iran. The Russians were not happy with Cheneys BTC pipeline or the Caspian Sea Pipelines project going through Afghanistan. This threatens their economy based on oil & gas.
Again it s the Bush administrations lust for money in World markets for their BIG OIL buddies - Reply to this comment
- November 4, 2004 the IAGS Energy Security reported :
"Much of the stability along the BTC corridor would depend on Russia. Russia is not supportive of BTC. It sees it as a U.S. plot to gain control over the Caucasus and cut all links between Moscow of the former Soviet states, building an economic infrastructure that would prevent the former Soviet states to ever reunite with Russia. Moscow also views BTC as a way to weaken its position as major supplier of oil to the European markets. In a recent article at Asia Times Online, John Helmer refers to the BTC project as an effort %u201Cto redraw the geography of the Caucasus on an anti-Russian map.%u201D
Russia sold it s investment share of the BTC pipeline to Japan before the Iraq invasion.
