I wasn''''t at kent state and it is too far back to remember all the details, i believe there were 4 people killed at kent state. From what i remember, i don''''t think they were necessary or justified killings. These were college students protesting.

Agreed. Absolutely. And I do remember it clearly and 4 students did die for no reason. But my comments were about "shoot to kill" orders, their legality, & whether or not they had been/should be ordered. I stand by my statement that not even during the "race riots" of the 60''s were "shoot to kill" orders given. That in this Nation such orders to be given for ''suspected'' civilian criminals is illegal and anybody who followed such an order is/would be committing a crime. Kent State was a terrible tragedy that came at a time in our Nation''s history that was confused, misled, and could have been terminal for this great Nation. But, I repeat, it was not the policy of the United States Government to "shoot to kill" for real or perceived violations of the criminal code. And I really, REALLY, do oppose anyone who thinks a "shoot to kill" order would solve ANY criminal problem, much less the ''illegal immigrant'' or ''undocumented alien'' concerns that exist at this time. - Reply to this comment
- The Mexican government should be held accountable for every crime committed by an illegal alien in this country.

here is a quick history lesson for you. This county was in fact found by immigrants. One clear difference is that they were LEGAL. They didn''t violate the law to get here. Immigration laws still allow LEGAL immigration by the millions per year. These illegals are the ones sucking the life out of this country along with the assistance that should be feeding our hungry kids. So no the door isn''t shut. These illegal scum suckers don''t want to wait in line. They want to cut in front of it. Get an education before you rant like a fool! - Reply to this comment

U-h-h-h. I''m sorry, but I don''t understand & I want to learn. Could you please explain the chain of logic that led you to this conclusion? Thank You. - Reply to this comment
- What bothers me is how history is repeating. It was not so long ago that the same kind of stories and racially charged crimes were coming out about African American victims. The common denominator in it is the white race. Why? Why haven''''t our white folks learned to tolerate others? Why haven''''t our African American folks stepped up to help against this discrimination? Why haven''''t legal Hispanics stepped up to defend their right to be here? Lastly, Why haven''''t illegal immigrants stepped up to take steps to become legal? Although, there was no mention in the article that this wasn''''t the case with Mr. Ramirez.

I feel when you read this post you can understand why there are still problems between races.
It is wrong to judge an entire race by the actions of a few no matter what the race is. Crimes such as this have happened to every race including homeless. - Reply to this comment

N-o-o-o. But are you suggesting that the National Guard troops had "shoot to kill" orders on that campus that day? Or any orders to shoot at all? - Reply to this comment
- Not white women of course. White men.

- Here we have 4 peoples lives changed forever all because, our government/politicians won''t suck it up and stem the flow of illegal immigration.
Our government is filled with a bunch of yellow belly arrogant fools.
To the illegals; leave, and do not come back. Unless of course you want to come here legally, then you will be welcome. After all, we are a nation of laws, and if you can''t respect that, then we do not want you.
And if you can not respect one of our most basic of laws, how can we trust you to respect the rest of them? We already have enough people here that do not respect some of our laws, we don''t need more. - Reply to this comment
- In case you didn''t know, the people who wrote the Consitution and founded America were well educated men of means. They were not poor and niether were the pilgrims. Most people who came to America for at least the first 50-100 years were either indentured servants (who had no say in government) or were people with a fair amount of money. Don''t be too quick to judge Americans for something you obviously know little to nothing about. Read a few history books then post on America''s founding fathers and their principles.

- Perhaps you can move to Mexico, too bad you can''t own land or even a car unless you are a Mexican citizen. How do you become a Mexican citizen? You learn to read, write, and speak spanish FLUENTLY. You learn all of their laws, you learn their history and you need money.....lots of it. If you enter into Mexico illegally, at bare minimum you go to prison. Don''t be too quick to defend Mexico.
A horrible act was committed. Either it was a stupid things that some kids did or it stems from the fact that alot of people are angry because illegel immigrants have been driving up the COLA and driving down wages for decades. There are a number of people in my town who get welfare for their children and both parents work in the field. So yes, there is alot of resentment that people who do things right and legally get less then those who do things ILLEGALLY.
As far as being Christian, yes a number of people claim to be, however they are not practicing and last I heard most Mexicans claimed to be Catholic, which is also Christian. If I remember correctly the Bible says to follow the laws of God and to follow the laws of the land. So you can condemn the illegal immigrants who claim to be Catholic just as easy as you can those who claim to be Christian. - Reply to this comment
- It''s funny how maybe everyone on this site will claim that they are "Christians". Don''t just be a Christian when it is convient to you! Last time I checked, murder was a sin. It doesn''t matter that this guy was an illegal immigrant! These kids weren''t defending America''s honor! They were some racist, young punks that made a horrible mistake, which I hope they spend the majority of their lives paying for! They didn''t have the right to take a life. They didn''t have the authority to decide who lives here.

- I have a sincere question for you rudy...since you are so knowledgable about immigration laws. If this man had returned to Mexico~would Mexico have welcomed his American girlfriend and the two kids and allowed them to enter their country and remain there? If Rudy doesn''''t answer...does anyone know?

First of all, the person you were responding to doesn''t knw immigration law.
If a foreign citizen marries an American, they can adjust thier statuse in about 6 months as long as they have about $1,500 for the application fees and can show that it is not a sham marriage.
Secondly, Mexico has very simple immigration laws compared to the US. She and their children would have had no problem whatsoever. - Reply to this comment

- You are reading more into the story than is there. I have not read that he did nothing to become legal. Many people get married and try it that way, but that door has been shut and usually the result is to divide the family and leave the woman high and dry for support. Our immigration laws are a joke and discriminate against the very kind of people who built this country. Most of American ancestors arrived here penniless, broke, and had little or nothing. Today, such would be turned away as undesirable leeches.

The story said he had been here six years and has two kids, does it say anywhere he was doing anything to become legal? Also did you notice the person i was arguing with does not even know how to spell retarded ? I am refusing to answer him further at this point, talking with him is useless. - Reply to this comment

You are right about filing a lawsuit, but i also remember a law on the books saying you cannot make monetary gain from the commission of a crime. - Reply to this comment
