Comments on: Wesley Snipes Gets 3 Years In Prison
Film Star Will Do Time Over $2.7 Million In Unpaid Taxes
- He knew what the law was and chose to defy it. At that point the IRS makes contact to settle the dispute. He wouldn''t settle so they made an example out of him. If he had been an average joe blow he might have gotten away with it, being a famous actor was to much for the IRS to pass up. I think if he had been white he would have received the same treatment, Martha Stewart did.

It does make it all a joke, doesn''t it? If people like Cheney can violate the laws, and Libby can just get a pardon for something more serious, then when people get punished severely for less, it''s just one big joke. - Reply to this comment

- He''s the Black Martha Stewart. Pisssed off the wrong people. Since he didn''t lie to protect the outing of a CIA Agent, (Treason), I don''t think he''ll be getting a pardon from Shrub. (He''s the wrong color, and his name isn''t "Scooter".)

- The U.S. has so many Laws on the books at the local, state and federal level its impossible to know what they all are or if you are even breaking them, some Laws have been on the books since the birth of our nation. The most sinister thing about U.S. Laws is that some can sit dormant for many years, never enforced and suddenly someone doesn''t like you or you rub someone the wrong way and they come after you, throw the proverbial book at you! Someone doesn''t like Wesley Snipes, maybe because he has a lot of White girl friends, Blacks are usually a target big time because of this and yes I went there because its true! Especially when you consider USA Today is reporting the Government Accountability Office estimates that more than 60,000 federal contractors owe $7.7 billion in back taxes! Wal-Mart owes more than $17.7 million in back corporate income taxes! True Wesley Snipes owes $2.7 million in back taxes, but there are many in the back taxes line in front of him who owe a lot more being ignored to make a point!
