Well, at least she didn''t stand before America and announce she is FINALLY proud to be an American, because prior to her husband running for President, she was ashamed. What has happened to Obama''s wife lately, we haven''t heard from her.

I''m sorry that Cindy didn''t give credit for her favorite recipes to the authors. Everyone who creates all their own recipes, raise your hand.

You know what, I think McCain (or McSame) is just Bush number 2 - an idiot basically. But who cares about this kind of thing really?

Thanks FloydZepp.....One other thing I would like to add. Although I am a democrat I will be the first, if I feel my party is wrong about something, to stand up and call them on it. To support stupidity just because of party loyalty is totally un-patroitic. Stand up for what is right. If the republicans are right about something we should stand up for them. What is best for the country is best for us. We need to make ourselves heard.

notblue....I''m sorry that you feel that I am an "insulting lib". If that is your opinion you are perfectly free to believe it. However, if you have read my posts in the past you will see that while I do have a democratic bias I do not make it a practice to "insult" the other side. I have the greatest respect for the opposition party and welcome to chance to debate the issues in a calm and respectful manner. The problem is that when I have tried to do this it seems that you folks quickly resort to name calling and snide remarks. I will admit that there times when I am not the nicest guy in the world but I really don''t mean any harm. Sometimes one gets a little frustrated and things come out that are best left unsaid. You and will never be on the same page politically but in real life you are probably a nice person. See ya in November.

SharnCedar....You pose the same question that I have asked myself over and over. The charges that have been leveled against Obama, his pastor, the "bitter" comment and so forth are things that, while questionable, can be argued one way or the other. But the things you mention have HAPPENED and are not subject for logical debate. But the American people seem to be blind to the actions of these men and they tend to accept comments that cast a bad light on Obama. Right now I am posting 5 to 1 odds on McCain to win in November. Go figgure.

McCain was still married and living with his wife in 1979 while, according to The New York Times'' Nicholas Kristof, "aggressively courting a 25-year-old woman who was as beautiful as she was rich." McCain divorced his wife, who had raised their three children while he was imprisoned in Vietnam, then launched his political career with his new wife''s family money.

Some hero eh. At least he has solid Republican family values, the same ones as Larry Craig, Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, Bill Bennet.

It isn''t just the affairs of these Republican creeps that is so disgusting, it is the way they do it - Newt Gingrisch abandoning his sick wife for a liberal news floozy, McCain abandoning the woman who stood by him for ll those years he was a prisoner to hook up with some cheap tart. Is this Republican values? How in the world are Christians supporting and voting for these guys, they make iberals look like stand-up moralists.

The GOP is as a whole, a slimy underhanded, lying bunch. They are also frightened chickenhawk obstructionists.

They should not be allowed near our government since all they want to do is ruin it. They think government exists to support fat cat corporate executives. They will lie, cheat, steal and kill to get what they want.

Ricknuber, CBS is as biased as FOX, it is up to us to listen to all the views and disceminate the crapp. What journalistic purpose does this article serve? Is it important to know that a candidates wife does not plagerize recipee''s? Or is there some other political agenda goingon here? It''s as simple as that.

Is it any wonder that we are so jaded and cynical about the political process when we are given examples every day showing how information is manufactured and tailored to manipulate us? Is there anything real about any of these idiots, or should we just continue to suck down these faked versions of reality and then complain two years from now about how nothing has changed? Red pill or blue pill?

LOL--those recipes ought to generate more charges of "elitism" from the nattering media than Obama''s bitterness remark--who really eats that stuff? Not John McCain, I''ll betcha.

The media should have learned by now that anything most of the public does is not going to be held against a candidate; Clinton lying about cheating on his wife, McCain''s wife stealing recipes, Hillary crying--this is stuff the public relates to because we''re all guilty, so forget about trying to stoke up scandals out of them...

"Last time I heard, the democrats were in the majority in congress,"

You don''t seem to understand how laws are made. A bill must be passed by BOTH the House and the Senate and then it must be signed by the president. Democrats aren''t really the "majority" when 1 crazy man can just veto whatever they want to pass and there are enough repugs to prevent the veto from being over-ridden. Furthermore, the current crop of democrats is relatively spineless, so the problem is compounded.

However, there is absolutely no way you really lay the blame for this evil war and the bankruptcy of our country on the democratic party! All you can say is that they failed to stop it. Did YOU manage to stop it? No, so you are just as guilty as the dems.

Furthermore, let''s not forget that a mysterious Anthrax Killer sent antrax to the offices of several Democratic members of congress. Even if it wasn''t a coordinated attack by one of Cheney''s secret alternative government cells, it had the effect of suddenly silencing the majority of the opposition to Bush and Cheney''s war buildup.

Finally, let''s not ever forget that Bush was WARNED ("Bin Laden determined to attack in USA") and yet he decided that clearing brush at his "ranch" was a higher priority, so he did NOTHING to try to protect the country.

The blame lands squarely on the shoulders of Cheney, Bush, and the neocons in the GOP.
