You are disgusting to ask about religion. Now I know why I never watch CBS news. You are prejudice. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You disgust me.

On 129 times, or more, Barack Hussein Obama voted "PRESENT" as a State Senator, when he could have voted Yes or No! UNBELIEVABLE INDECISION-ISN''''T It? Posted by dumbshun

Well, it you understand the Illinois Legislature it not that unbelieveable. Unlike Congress and the legislatures of most other states, each chamber of the Illinois Legislature requires a `constitutional majority` to pass a bill. The state Senate has 59 members, so it takes 30 affirmative votes. This makes a `present` vote the same as a no. If a bill receives 29 votes, but the rest of the senators vote `present,` it fails.

In Congress, in contrast, a bill can pass in either the House or the Senate as long as more people vote for it than against it. If 10 people vote in favor and nine against, and the rest either vote `present` or don`t vote at all, the bill passes. It can actually pass with just one vote, as long as no one votes no.

In the Illinois Senate, there can be strategic reasons for voting `present` rather than simply no. A member might approve the intent of legislation, but not its scope or the way it has been drafted. A `present` vote can send a signal to a bill`s sponsors that the legislator might support an amended version. Voting `present` can also be a way to exercise fiscal restraint, without opposing the subject of the bill.

"If you use the electoral votes, Hillary is still leading 205 to 193 for Obama. General Election is run on the basis of winner take all and electoral votes are what count. If Hillary wins Texas and Ohio and RI, and Obama wins VT, she will get 263 electoral votes and he will have only 196 votes. Even if Hillary loses Texas, she will still lead 229 to 227.
So this race is not over yet. Obama has won mostly in states that are Republican states and he won because of crossover votes from Republicans and Hillary has won all Democratic states. So Hillary should be the real Nominee."

Very interesting perspective, Jack. Makes it clear that Hillary is still very much in the race and there is no way she should step down at this point.

Averaged general election polls from the last few days show that Hillary is only 0.8% behind McCain in a one-on-one national election. (Poll results at www.realclearpolitics.com). Those who say she can''t win the election are merely expressing their own personal prejudices.

I am an Independent supporting Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton Regimen brought in demoralization by allowing the highest seat in the house to say by action that it is okay for you to have *** with anyone, anywhere, anytime and then lie about. Look what that taught our children, and the results.

LOL -- News Flash: Republicans were having adulterous and premarital *** for decades before Clinton was even born. Humans have been doing it since they first began to marry. For god''s sake, grow up.

After the trash that has come out of the Clinton campaign these past few weeks, I will personally refuse to vote for her if indeed she becomes the nominee. As repugnant and offensive as I find republicans in general I will vote for McCain before her.

Hillary is indeed the enemy. I am not meaning to tear her down but what she stands for will destroy this country. The Clinton Regimen brought in demoralization by allowing the highest seat in the house to say by action that it is okay for you to have *** with anyone, anywhere, anytime and then lie about. Look what that taught our children, and the results. Now Hillary comes to say that Hope is not a premise to campaign when Hope is all we have, politics isn''t working. She is a hypocrite in that she must have hope to think she can win. So she comes to take Hope from a people. That is the work of the enemy. She can''t run her own house what makes her think she can run a country, she failed at being the First Lady, now President. Wake up people. Sen. Obama is by far the better candidate because he is in no ones pocket and he''s not playing the "I wanna be President game." He has the testimony of Hope and if He can, we all can. Ohio is a praying State. God will prevail. It''s A New Day, A Time for Change and Yes We Can!!!

Steve Kroft should be fired as well as all others who continue on the path of religious bigotry.

I''m relly puzzled by the racist inquisitional questioning of anybody''s religion as if there''s a pox to being a muslim. I thought there was no qualifying religion to run for office in theUSA. Or maybe its the old whiteman speak with forked tongue syndrome at work. You know, the same ethic that puts a horrendous ethnic cleanser on a $20 bill. The one that makes a fuss over someone not putting their hand on their heart while saying the pledge but defends openly rebellious flags to be flown over state capitol''s in the soputh.

The democratic party is becoming a laughing stock.Hillary isn''''t worth the powder to blow her to hell,as far as the man in the street is concerned, and yet they flock to her,and eat her lies as if they were candy. They are blind to the fact that independents won''''t vote for her,and they need independents to win.You don''''t have to warm up Hillary. You will be shot down in flames in november.I''''m begining to think I may vote for someone else no matter who wins the democratic nomination.

I can''''t imagine what was driving Mr. Kroft when he asked Senator Clinton four times about Senator Obama''''s faith. In a court of law it might have been characterized as "badgering the witness." How unfortunate that the media professionals, of whom I used to consider Mr. Kroft one, fail to keep their own bias in check.

He was trying to give her a chance to behave like a REAL LEADER and denounce those kind of tactics. But she fail to do that, because she knows that she has benefitted from those emails....she is a real slimeball...

Steve Croft''s questioning of Hillary Clinton was abusive and quite antagonistic. On the other hand, his cream puff questions to Barak Obama were quite the opposite. This type of journalism was not what I expected of 60 Minutes, certainly not what would have occured in the early days of the program.

Mr. Kroft has proven to be not a journalist, but an advocate. it was disgraceful to hear him bring up a question about someone''s religion. I though that Mr. Kroft was living in America? I can no longer trust 60 Minutes for fair and unbiased reporting. CBS is getting "old."

How reprehensible of Steve Kroft to even ask Hillary Clinton about Obama''s religion. BOOOOOOOOOO! Steve Kroft. YOU OWE SEN. CLINTON AN APOLOGY FOR ASKING THE QUESTION, YOU OWE SEN. OBAMA AN APOLOGY FOR CONTINUING TO SPREAD SCURRILOUS RUMOURS, AND YOU OWE THE VIEWING PUBLIC AN APOLOGY FOR OUTRIGHT RUMOUR
MONGERING AND JUST PLAIN BAD JOURNALISM. You also should do it at the top of the next program and not bury it at the end.
