I saw the video and there will never be a lawsuit, too much truth would come of it, he is as guilty as McQuire and Bonds and should be stripped of all records and not allow in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Roger Clemons is a lousy liar. Maybe Bill and Hillary could teach him some of the finer points of looking into a television camera and saying something he knows isn''''t true as though it were.

You should add to your blurp, bush/chaney. They are far and away the best at lying to the American public.

However I tend to believe Roger whereas if bush/chaney mouth is moving I know they are lying.

Wow, absolutely amazing responses. I visited these responses because I was interested in the whiplash CBS would get for such a pathetic attempt to authenticate this particular production as a qualified interiew. I could care less if these athletes used steroids...what scares me more is that the press can pawn this off as news and navigate its audience toward its predetermined version of the truth. Forget steroids and athletes. How would that segment have come across to the viewing public had RC''s publicist edited the interview and also had the opportunity to throw in a few comments at will?

FYI, there is an election in the Fall.

When many say "how could you take the word of a drug dealer over Clemens?" the real question should be "Why was Clemens paying a man you admit to being a drug dealer to train him for over 10 years? - a man that another ballplayer has admitted to getting HGH shots from?" Also, "Why would you trust a drug dealer?" Well Mitchell isn''t going to get the dirt on drugs in baseball from someone that doesn''t deal them.... you have to talk to the dirt bag drug dealers and trainers.
Yes, you are innocent until proven guilty but a- Clemens didn''t speak to Mitchell when he was asked and b- he requested to speak to Mike Wallace about it.

If you put yourself on TV and make statements people have the right to analyze and criticize it. If you didn''t want people to criticize what you say then don''t go on TV (hello, Barry Bonds)

I do think that his lawyer told him not to talk to the Mitchell team. In hindsight it was a horrible mistake on Clemens part. Clemens made more money this summer than we will make in our lives. No one is talking about taking that money back or even sending him to jail. The Clemens team should stop posting here trying to say he''s some kind of victim. Roger, speak to congress, speak to the fans - don''t just do controlled interviews. Perception is everything and you came across guilty.

Wow.

You sound so heroic in stating that you could take a shot or 2 and pitch in a particular game and be good to go.

Can you please explain why you had to miss the first half of the frickin season?

An environment where people''s reputations can be destroyed by accusation alone is disgusting. Those making such accusations and those who use it to sell publications, get more TV viewers or to gain votes are reprehensible. Those who blindly accept such manufactured information are simply idiots.

This is why Bonds needed the juice. He was facing all the juiced up pitchers. If Ruth or Aaron had to face so many juiced-up pitchers, few would remember their names.

There are two tragedies in all of this. First, as most of us know - Major League Baseball & the Players'' Association''s blind eye to steroid use. Second, which is far more disturbing is how little respect there is from the public for reserving judgement. It appears that in today''s world only the accused have any regard for innocence until proven guilty. The media is much to blame, as the possibility of guilt outsells the belief in innocence.

Let''s see. A second CIA drug plane crashed this year and is linked linked to the owner of the Texas Rangers and Bush''s re-election and we get a story about steroid use in baseball or Brittney Spears is released from the hospital.

The head of Mexican civial aviation is assinated on his way to work and the tortured bodies of 3 airport workers found along the road and we get steroids.

Dear CBS - Please try to show more courage, intelligence and integrity like the bloggers.

I believe Roger, I do feel that he didn''t use steroids solely by his review. If you watched him play in recent games, you would see how clean he is when you see how he throws a ball, etc.. I for one, believe him, and he has my respect.

This brings me to the subject of Andy Petite - now he''s lying when he says he only used HGH twice while rehabing from an injury. You don''t recover from an injury by injecting HGH twice. I''m sure that Petite used HGH during his entire rehab...

This whole subject, and most of Americas ignorance and belief in the *** our govenment puts out is a joke to me. I just don''t understand... Maybe someone out there can help me with that.

In my eyes, Roger Clemens is innocent until someone proves him guilty. If you want to convict someone in the court of public opinion, convict Barry Bonds! Barry Bonds probably wasn''t lying when he stated that he never took steriods and I belive that he didn''t - HE TOOK HGH AND HE TOOK A LOT OF IT! That''s why he never failed a test and that''s why his skull grew. Take a look at a picture of Barry Bonds head in 1998 and then in 2005. I''ve seen it for myself - THE ONLY SUBSTANCE CAPABLE OF DOING THAT IS HGH!

Get a clue America and stop letting our government and the media force-feed you what they want you to believe!

I just got done watching Mike Wallace'' interview of Roger Clemens and I have to say that I am quite amazed at the level of ignorance of the American public and that of Mike Wallace.

First, I totally agree with Roger Clemens that he deserves the benefit of the doubt when being accused. One has to consider the source of the Mitchell Report''s findings... Brian McNamee a man who was probably bullied into providing names to the government in order to obtain a lighter sentence for his wrongdoings...

Second, not one time during Roger Clemens career di he fail a drug test for steriods or other substances banned by MLB. There is no physical proof that Roger Clemens ever took steroids or human growth hormone - only the word of a soon-to-be-convicted felon trying to save his own *** at the expense of others.

Furthermore, has anyone stopped to think about this small little facts... The Mitchell Report states that Brian McNamee injected Rodger Clemens with winstrol 4 times during the 1998 season and testosterone and HGH 4 to 6 times each during the 2000 season... I''m sorry but any jackass knows that these drugs do nothing to anyone buy using them 4 to 6 times over the course of a season. In order for those drugs, especially HGH, to provide ANY benefit the user must use them on a daily basis.

As a Baseball fan who has watched Clemens for many years I would say give the guy a break. Yes he pitched better in his early 40''s than most players in their 20''s but it''s not unheard of for a extremely talented player like Clemens. Nolan Ryan pitched well into his 40''s and no one ever questions his record, even though he was able to throw much harder than Clemens ever did. Yes it''s unusual to have a career that lasts that long, but it''s not impossible.

As far as the lie detector goes, as a police officer who works criminal investigations I can tell you that all they are really good for is scaring confessions out of people. Many studies have shown that they really aren''t accurate at all, despite what some polygraphers will tell you. Not only are they overly sensitive to someone who is simply nervous or excited, but they can be easily manipulated by someone who knows how. If I were ever asked to take one, I''d refuse because I know how useless they are in actually determining if a person is truthful or not. If I were Clemens I would not take one and just testify honestly in the Congressional hearing if he is being honest.
