Comments on: Michael Moore In Trouble For Cuba Trip
Treasury Investigation; Moore Took Sept. 11 Workers To Banned Island For Treatment
- I think anyone should be able to travel to Cuba. What a rediculous restriction on American freedom.
Just goes to show how inept our government really is. - Reply to this comment
- Actually I do disagree with him on gun control, but other then that I'm usually right in line with him.

I do hope that his eating habits are something that you also disagree with.

I'm not sure what his eating habits are? I eat whatever I'm hungry for at the time and like all good Michiganders (like Micheal) I also have no problem putting on a layer of winter fat for insulation (or anytime of year actaully). Life's too short not to eat, drink and smoke whatever you like. - Reply to this comment
- Maybe we should warn all americans not to even think about Cuba!
Bush often ignores laws that don't suit him--and enforces laws that inhibit free speech and reporting.
Bush wants Mike Moore not to be able to inform Americans about things like Cuba being willing and able to help Katrina victims who DIED as a result of Bushes idoicy (which Websters defines as "the state of being an idiot.") - Reply to this comment

- "Funny, I live in San Diego and I've met Cunningham at conference. He's a war hero that put his life on the line for his country more times than any San Francisco low life you're fond." Posted by bizzzz at 03:34 PM : May 10, 2007
Everyone who goes to war puts their life on the line. But being a war hero gives him the right to screww the very same Americans he was serving while in the military? I think his "war hero" status has been negated.
He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar for the same reason he became a war hero: He threw caution and judgement to the wind. Greed and glory got in his way.
Both Cunningham and Duncan Hunter were poster children (not "childs") for term limits a long time ago. I too, live in SoCal and I know them both very well.
Let's see, didn't Hunter under-pay his property taxes awhile back? A man of his supposed intelligence? Shouldn't he have known that he was paying a lot less than the average person in SD county? Source? SD Union-Tribune. Yeah, go ahead, make an excuse for him. LOL!!
I don't care for Feinstein either, but, as nyteryder implied, "Show me the evidence." It's easy to make a slanderous statement; show me the beef.
OBTW: Bush was a comparison to your statements about Moore. - Reply to this comment

Why don't you post the link so we all can read it and judge for ourselves?
And if there's a shred of evidence that it's true, why hasn't NRO or some other extreme neo-con rag picked up on it? - Reply to this comment
- To: down-ndirty,
Who said anything about Bush? I didn't. As far as Foley, Foley is a liberal. No argument there. Funny, I live in San Diego and I've met Cunningham at conference. He's a war hero that put his life on the line for his country more times than any San Francisco low life you're fond. He got caught doing the same thing that hag Dianne Feinstein did. Here's an article I googled in six seconds
California U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) chairs the Senate Rules Committee, but she%u2019s also a Cardinal. She is currently chairwoman of the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies subcommittee, but until last year was for six years the top Democrat on the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (or %u201CMilcon%u201D) sub-committee, where she apparently directed more than $1 billion to companies controlled by her husband. Mr. Blum...
Yet, not a word in the mainstream media. - Reply to this comment
- All you Michael Moore bashers should know that Moore considered Clinton the BEST republican president we've had since Lincoln. LOL!!
1. Clinton abondoned the traditional Dem role of improving life for the working stiff.
2. Pushed through NAFTA, causing the loss of hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs.
3. Did nothing to raise the standard of living for the Mexican worker.
4. Got Congress to eliminate the federal welfare program, AND INCREASED wlefare for the rich with his tax breaks and business incentives.
Who would have expected the son of a working class mother to become president and help the wealthy and the corporate elite maintain their REAL power in our crumbling democracy.
Proof there's little or no difference between wealthy repugnicans and wealthy democrappers. They are all looking out for their own wealth and power.
Americans are sheep; we are a NATION OF SHEEP. Lazy sheep... - Reply to this comment
- That's a first! Michael Moore accused of being "a bit too far to the right...", wow!
Well, Randal, I know you've admitted to being a Liberal, your opinions reflect that, and that's fine. But I just don't see Michael Moore's politics being anything close to Conservative, or even moderate. (Yes, I have watched his documentaries).
Posted by acauble1 at 06:30 AM : May 10, 2007
lol! Actually it was something of a joke. Whenever right wingers rail against Micheal I usually come back with the idea that he's too far to the right for my tastes (I am very very liberal...da*mn near Libertarian) as sort of a jab back at them. Actually I do disagree with him on gun control, but other then that I'm usually right in line with him. - Reply to this comment
- "I've never understood why the US continues to embargo Cuba and restrict travel there. ..." Posted by nolalou at 02:19 PM : May 10, 2007
The question of the day! Why does the embargo continue...?
I was part of the Navy "team" that monitored the Soviet missiles being "removed" from Cuba at the "request" of Kennedy back in the '60s. There are friendly communists and there are hostile communists. There are hostile communists (China) with whom we are friendly, and there are friendly communists with whom we hostile (Cuba).
The difference is location, just like in real estate. Cuba is close, very close, and they and the Soviets took aggressive action to threaten us. (Not that anyone else ever did that!)
Another reason is that, unlike China and the former USSR, Cuba is a very successful communist country; low unemployment, health care for most. It doesn't matter that thousands, maybe millions want to leave Cuba for the U.S. However, world-wide, billions want to leave their home to come here. Lucky for us they don't.
Would I want to go there? No, not even for a visit. But as long as they are perceived as a threat, they will be treated as a threat. It doesn't matter that we have "real" enemies elsewhere. - Reply to this comment
- "Micahel Moore is an American communist propagandist whose numerous lies are well documented and can be easily googled. ... he uses the media, at the expense of the truth..." Posted by bizzzz at 02:19 PM : May 10, 2007
The word "communist" does not appear in Moore's bio, but the word "controversial" does. Maybe you just can't spell. Perhaps you can provide a link to a "credible" source for your "communist" remark? Or maybe you just have the mentality of Joseph McCarthy? LOL!!
Bush's lies are well-documented, too. More so than Moore's, (no pun intended!) and a hell-of-a-lot more famous. And Bush is the supposed leader of the free world.
But I guess it's ok for politicians to lie; after all, that's what they do best. And it's the ONLY thing Bush has ever done. - Reply to this comment
- Libs cry all you want, but NO ONE is above the law. Like Paris, Billy Clinton and all the others who think they shouldn't have to pay like the rest of use do, I have absolutely no sympathy for Mikey boy. Throw the book at him!
Posted by jinxkity at 01:05 PM : May 10, 2007
I'm sorry but I find this hilarious! jinxkity I'm assuming you are a conservative according to your comment, but what I find so funny is that the conservatives are on her touting that no one is above the law. Yet the loyal Bushies out there won't even consider the fact that Bush has broken the law himself! They just go on and o about how he's the president and he's got a job to do. But they'll just jump right on this bandwagon accusing Moore of doing this dirty, disgusting act of going all the way over to Cuba...Man that guy is just one of the most deplorable Americans out there huh? (Notice the sarcasm?) - Reply to this comment
- Americans have to get permision from a dictorial goverment to vist another country, the Cubans can vist any country in the world. WHO ARE THE OPRESSED AND DICTATED TO PEOPLE?
IF THE U S IS SUCH A GREAT AND DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY WHY DO THEY HAVE TO WORRY AND FEAR A LITTLE COUNTRY LIKE CUBA? STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AMERICANS. - Reply to this comment

LOL!!! Funny!! But there's no other redeeming value in that statement.
Self-control? Brings to mind Foley, Haggert, Cunningham? Cunningham? LOL!! I met him on a plane and talk about a "self serving" sloth. Now he's "serving" time; he got what he deserved.
Bush is the poster child for "no accountability." - Reply to this comment
- Micahel Moore is an American communist propagandist whose numerous lies are well documented and can be easily googled. Like Rosie O Donnell, he is a fat slob that was picked on so much his entire life, he uses the media, at the expense of the truth, to reap revenge on the society that laughed in his fat face so much of his life.

- I've never understood why the US continues to embargo Cuba and restrict travel there. Supposedly its because they are a comunist dictatorship. Well, so is China, and they oppress millions more than Cuba ever will, but not only do we not have an embargo against China, but we gave them 'most favored nation' trade status, and we owe them billions of dollars!! (anybody who thinks Bush has done a great job on the economy should look at the US debt to China!!)
The only reason that embargo against Cuba still exists is politicians bowing to pressure for neocon Cubans in Florida! - Reply to this comment
