Donald Trump briefly tested the waters for a presidential run in 1988, but it wasn't until 1999 when the Trump self-promotion machine went into full force.
Fresh off his divorce from Marla Maples, flaunting his new girlfriend (and now-wife) Melania Knauss, and promoting a new book that laid out his political views, Trump sensed a possible political opening. The Reform Party, the party created by Ross Perot after his 1992 presidential run and the vehicle for his 1996 run, was set to receive federal funding in 2000 after Perot received eight percent of the vote in 1996. Trump started talking up a possible Reform Party bid, pitting him against famous conservative Pat Buchanan.
In his book, "The America We Deserve", he proposed a one-time 14.25 percent tax on those worth more than $10 million (he was on that list) and suggested the country could use a wily businessman like him as president.
"The dealmaker is cunning, secretive, focused and never settles for less than he wants," Trump wrote. "It's been a long time since America had a president like that."
And, perhaps leaving some wiggle room in case he didn't follow through with his presidential flirtation, Trump added, "Do I need to be president to feel good about myself? I feel pretty good right now."

The below events are true, and I pray someone will take this seriously. With technology and satelittes, My Tv had live feed from Liyba Attack.
There has to be a way to get Time Warner Cable's transmission on this event. Also alot of the terrorist were caring cell phones. But the window was before 9:40. That was the part that Ms Lamb was allowed to report. I saw more then she did. I thought it was a break through news cast that would be played over and over.
My thoughts are if the satelitte was broadcasting this feed, there has to be a copy. TWC has a copy and cell phones have a copy.
So here is my testimony on what I saw that night.

On 9 11 2012 I was watching television, I have TWC cable. Then there came a break through news cast I thought. With Chris talking about how he told the State and the Administration.. that this would happen. In the background was the Embassy Annex on fire in the background, there was another man with him talking also asking him questions, Like who did you tell? A frantic Chris went over it again. He looked in terror, and ruffled pointing to behind him with the fire and noise of an attack. Thinking this would play over and over, I went to kitchen to get something and came back and TV had changed. The program I was watching came back on.
I tried channel surfing to find out what happened. I do not remember what channel I was on. I looking at all news for that day. cbs, ktla, nbc, abc, kcet, kttv, msnbc, cnn, fnc, cnbc and cspan. I figured maybe because the time is different in Libya ( 3:20 am in libya it is 6:20 pm in California 09/11/2012 9:40 pm in Washington). I looked online and searched the day before I am not sure how timeslines work.
Before anything was said to the press about Ambassador Chris, on a channel, it was 9/11/2012 in California. Ambassador Chris was on my TV during the attack, talking about how he told everyone, State, adminstration... It seemed like it was his last will and testament. He was wearing the clothes that they later found him in.
Ms Lamb..."The attack began at approximately 9:40 pm local time. Diplomatic Security agents inside the compound heard loud voices outside the walls, followed by gunfire and an explosion. Dozens of attackers then launched a full-scale assault that was unprecedented in its size and intensity. They forced their way through the pedestrian gate, and used diesel fuel to set fire to the Libyan 17th February Brigade members' barracks, and then proceeded towards the main building.That is where my TV no longer broadcasted event.
Ms Lamb.."When the attack began, a Diplomatic Security agent working in the Tactical Operations Center immediately activated the Imminent Danger Notification System and made an emergency announcement over the PA. Based on our security protocols, he also alerted the annex U.S. quick reaction security team stationed nearby, the Libyan 17th February Brigade, Embassy Tripoli, and the Diplomatic Security Command Center in Washington. From that point on, I could follow what was happening in almost real-time. She now is talking about after 9:40 pm.
She states..Gunfire was heard from multiple locations on the compound. One agent secured Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith, the information management officer, in the safe haven."
