Charlie Rose, Lara Logan on "Person to Person"

He made his name interviewing the most important people of our time. She built her reputation covering wars and insurgencies the world over. Now Charlie Rose and Lara Logan are teaming up on the new CBS program, "Person to Person." And the chemistry couldn't be better.

New life for legendary TV show
Video: The best of Murrow's "Person to Person"

"There's no one I'd rather do this program with than Lara....What makes her a terrific partner is her curiosity...she's listening to what people are saying and responding , not just as a journalist but as a human being."

Rose and Logan - on set in New York - take us into the homes of today's biggest names via a giant wall of video. The result is a rare and intimate glimpse into the private lives of celebrities and newsmakers. Says Logan, "being inside the home is an opportunity for the conversation to lead you to a more interesting place than when someone's coming on the late night talk show or something else to say 'Oh, I've got a new movie coming out and this is why you should watch it.'"

At times funny, at times serious, it is always revealing, says Rose. "We talk about the things that are important to them: Photographs, trophies, all the things that have made up a life."

I loved the Person to Person program with Charlie Rose and Lara Logan. Loved the format! Very fresh! I kept waiting to see the next one, and it hasn't materialized. What happened? Why the blackout on news on what happened to this show?

Always liked original person to person - think Charlie Rose is good at the job but could do without Lara Logan. She adds nothing to the show. Agree that less mention of the current president would have the show be less political.

I thought that Person to Person would be a weekly show, what happened since the first show was aired, have not seen anything since?

Loved Charlie Rose - such a great interviewer Too bad he's got a sidekick - she was not good. Hope CBS lets him fly solo or it'll be tough to keep watching Person to Person.

Enjoyed seeing "Person to Person" with Charlie and Lara. The hour let me learn more about the lives of George, Warren and Jon in an easy to watch format. I don't think "Person to Person" would be a ratings winner as a weekly series as there are already more-established interview shows on TV, but as once-a-month specials or during the ratings sweeps period it could be successful.

I watched and was so disappointed. I thought I was getting away from the political scene only to see nothing but Obama references by each one. The photo's; the picture of Bush (Bad) Obama (Good) in Clooney's house; the photo's of each of them with Obama; the comments and song by Bon Jovi... come on. Does CBS think we are idiots (I know they do). Unbelievable how this ended up to be a political campaign advertisement but no charge to the Obama camp. I guess the reality show I will keep watching is Biggest Loser... or was I watching it on CBS?

Sorry CBS....not only is the content offensive to so many (even though I'm a huge Clooney fan), the show was very poorly done. Ms. Logan would hardly keep her mouth shut long enough for the guests to answer. Bad choice for a show and badly done show. We won't watch it again.

So CBS now has it's own mini award show ! Ed Murrow would roll over in his grave, it's all come true. The networks are only interested in revenue income - not news. Just another shlock tv show, right up there with EI. If you meet CBS's requirements you will get on, otherwise---

Great new program. I found nothing offensive about this program. Warren Buffet once again showed he is a very down to earth person that has worked hard all of his life and passed this on to his kids. He should stand proud of what he has and what he has done with his life. George Clooney seems to have the same good work ethics and he too should be proud of what he has done and is still doing with his life. My hat goes off to people like this. Jon Bon Jovi is a much greater individual that your program portraid as I have seen other interviews with him that went more in depth what he is giving back to his community. Charlie and Lara you both did a great job and I look forward to continued programs. Thank you for the work that you do. So refreshing from the current trash shown on TV. oldernytxn

I find it a tad bit odd that you made note of the "invest like a champion today" sign above Buffets office. We then heard the story behind it. The original "play like a champion today" was in Bon Jovi's studio and no mention was made of it. Maybe that piece was filmed first or something!
