Chenoweth: I'm superstitious about Tony nods

(CBS News) Kristin Chenoweth now knows what it's like to be on the giving and receiving end of the Tony nominations. On Tuesday, she announced the nominations with actor Jim Parsons for this year's 66th annual Tony Awards. And in her career, she's received two nominations - and has won one award.

Chenoweth said on Tuesday that she's superstitious - she doesn't usually watch the nominations. "I think I would be so heartbroken watching and then not getting called," Chenoweth said. She said both times she was nominated that her manager had to call her.

"It's great," she said of receiving the news that she'd been nominated in the past.

Chenoweth said many people were celebrating, but that others are sad. "I've been on that end too," she said.

When asked about this year's crop of nominees, Chenoweth said she's excited for the cast of "Once." The musical is in the lead with 11 nominations.

In 1999, Chenoweth won the Featured Actress in a Musical award for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." She was previously nominated for her role in "Wicked" in 2004. She's currently starring in the TV show, "GCB."
