Erica Hill
Erica Hill (CBS)
Erica Hill is a co-host of "CBS This Morning."
Hill had served as co-anchor of CBS News' "The Early Show" since January 2011, prior to which she was news anchor of the broadcast (2010), and co-anchor of "The Early Show on Saturday" (2008-2010). While at CBS News, she also served as news anchor and correspondent for CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" (2005-10), substitute anchor for Cooper and Campbell Brown (2008-10) and anchor of "CNN Tonight" (2009).
Before joining CBS News, Hill served in a variety of roles at both CNN and HLN, including anchor of a live, two-hour interview and news program called "Prime News with Erica Hill" (2006-2008), co-anchor of "Prime News Tonight" (2005-2006), and national correspondent for CNN Newsource (2004). She began work at HLN in 2003, and during the period in which she worked for the channel and its parent network, she covered a wide range of stories, including the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the 2004 and 2008 presidential campaigns, the war in Iraq. In 2005, she reported from Mississippi as part of CNN's coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
Prior to her tenure at HLN and CNN, Hill served as co-anchor and correspondent for TechTV's daily news program, "Tech Live" (2001-2003), during which period she anchored live coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, covered a variety of technology stories, and co-produced specials for the network, including the debate surrounding embryonic stem cell research, the technology behind the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2001 Academy Award. She began working for TechTV in 1998, following a brief term at "PC Week Radio," PC Week magazine's online news radio station.
Hill graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
