General Electric Co. fell .9 percent to $22.10 with 40,127,400 shares traded.
Hewlett Packard Co. rose 2.4 percent to $17.11 with 37,056,500 shares traded.
Pfizer Inc. was unchanged at $24.83 with 28,723,800 shares traded.
Sprint Nextel Corp. fell 1.3 percent to $5.46 with 44,671,900 shares traded.
