Grains futures mostly rise, livestock prices mixed
CHICAGO — Grains futures mostly rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery rose 12.75 cents to $8.9450 a bushel; December corn slipped 0.25 cent to $8.0725 a bushel; December oats rose 0.25 cent to $3.8375 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 20.50 cents to $16.4575 a bushel.
Beef futures fell, while pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle fell 0.28 cent to $1.2527 a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.60 cent to $1.4350 a pound; while October lean hogs rose 0.58 cent to 76.20 cents a pound.
