Shop small business and local when you shop. Stay away from all Wall Street establishments. Hey it's your funeral. And that of the planet.

Stay away from Wall Mart, they are a scourge on America. They are the epitomy of everything that has gone wrong with America since Reagan. All the money we spend there goes to Communist China or in the coffers of the billionaire owners while they rape and pillage the towns and cities they are located in.

We are now almost a 3rd world nation with a land full of mindless, brainless consumers who have no clue about what reality is.

Massive poverty, the largest wealth gap in the world between rich and poor and failed medical, criminal justice and social safety net systems. And we will not recognize 1) we have a corrupt election system run by Wall Street and 2) we are causing rapid climate change that will cost us trillions of dollars.

It is so, so sad and tragic that our whole society now revolves around shopping and how much we can consume. Meanwhile we are literally frying the earth that sustains us. Unbelievable.

i agree with the comment about the stupid and pointless materialism, however there's nothing tragic about it, it's called free will and personal choice. to not have it would be a tragedy, not having it.

as far as "frying" the earth, the earth is a very big boy and quite old too and will be juuuuust fine regardless what the little ants called humans on it do to it. did an ant ever "fry" your room? it's naive and presumptuous, and just silly, to think that humans can appreciably affect something as old and permanent as the earth.

You are not one of those science deniers are you? I know it is confusing You and me as ants can't affect anything. Neither are the oil corporations that already have and plan on burning 5 TIMES as much oil and gas as it will take to fry the earth.

Every Christmas I buy friends and family custom and unique t-shirts from sites like http://www.flippinsweetgear.com and http://www.funny-t-shirts.org
They're always a hit! Just took advantage of the 15% off coupon today and it's a purchase I can feel good about since they are made in America. Family appreciates that also.

be careful with Amazon. They are now allowing a lot of retailers to use their site. Many times these are fly by night operations. The stuff you get direct from Amazon is fine but look at the small print.

You should always use a price comparison and deals site like http://idealchooser.com before making an online purchase. You can end up paying much more if you just take a "deal" or a "great price" without making sure it is indeed the best one out there.
