(MoneyWatch)  Southwest flight attendants ratify contract -- Southwest Airlines Co. flight attendants approved a new contract Monday with pay raises of 3 percent and more retirement contributions. The Transport Workers Union, which represented the attendants, said the contract was ratified by 89 percent of voting workers. The pay raises will take place in the first three years of the contract and is retroactive to June 2008. The contract runs through May of 2012. [Source: Associated Press]

Carnival lowers expectations because of swine flu -- Carnival Corp. lowered its earning outlook Monday because of itinerary change made during the Mexican swine flu outbreak. Miami-based Carnival switched 27 ships from Mexican ports, but said it would resume original sailings by the middle of June.[Source: Associated Press]

Celebrity Cruises to sale out of Miami year-round -- Celebrity Cruises will starts sailing year-round from the Port of Miami starting in December, when the Celebrity Century will begin four- and five-night Caribbean cruises. Celebrity reported that the new move would make the company $2.8 million a year. [Source: South Florida Business Journal]

The Greenbrier, a centuries-old hotel, bought by businessman -- The Greenbrier, a 231-year-old resort in Sulphur Springs, W. Va., was purchased by businessman James C. Justice II. Justice also bought 80 percent of the Greenbrier Sporting Club, a private residential development at the resort. Gov. Joe Manchin signed a bill on May 8 that regulated gambling at the resort.
