(MoneyWatch)  Caesars tries to bridge old and new with Octavius -- Caesars Palace will open its sixth hotel tower, a modern, 665-room luxury hotel expansion called Octavius, next summer. The middle-aged property added various segments and towers throughout the years, but the $1 billion Octavius is an attempt to attract those wanting sophisticated subtlety without the Roman kitsch. American Eagle pilots get 16-year contract -- American Eagle pilots received a 16-year contract with AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines. The new contract, for more than 2,800 pilots represented by the Air Line Pilots Association Int'l, can be amended in 2012. [Source: ALPA]

Delta expands service to Africa with Atlanta-Liberia flights -- Delta plans to offer a direct flight between Atlanta and Liberia starting in June. Delta already flies from Atlanta to Nigeria, South Africa and Senegal. [Source: Atlanta Business Chronicle]
