Travel Roundup: MGM Mirage Axes Bonus, Maui Land Vs. Maui, New Disney Resort and More
(MoneyWatch) No bonuses for MGM Mirage workers -- Casino giant MGM Mirage Inc. reported it probably won't give out employee performance bonuses because of an underperforming year. The company has approximately 64,000 workers. [Source: AP/Boston Globe]
Maui Land & Pineapple Co. suing Maui County -- The Maui Land & Pineapple Co. is suing Maui County, claiming the county is forcing the development company to convert up to 50 percent of its resort condos to affordable housing units. The developer's permit is for 1,050 hotel rooms and 800 residential units, but the dispute is aimed at the company's mixed-use development of 196 condos.
