Career Guidance Retains Calibre Employees | BTalk
(Episode 542; 14 minutes 07) Employees often leave for another job, not because of the company but because of their manager. That means there is an opportunity to hang-on to good quality staff if you keep an interest in them.
Kim Seeling Smith from Critical Path Career Management has spent 15 years in recruitment and now advises people in how to manage their careers. Kim says managers need to not only consider their own career path, they also need to coach staff on their own plans.
There are four key steps to Kim's career management program:
- Set your course
- Make your mark
- Master your skills
- Manage your mental fitness
