(Episode 359; 11 minutes 29) In February we spoke to Avanade about a survey into the adoption of cloud computing. It found that, compared to other parts of the world, Aussie businesses are more likely to understand the concept of cloud computing but less likely to have adopted it.

On today's BTalk Australia Phil Dobbie talks to Jeyan Jeevaratnam, Vice President ANZ for Avanade, about a follow-up survey, just published, which shows that the proportion of businesses with no plans to adopt cloud-based systems has fallen from 56 per cent to 32 per cent.

Other findings of the survey include:
?€? 64 percent of respondents regard cloud as a strategic investment while 36 percent view it as a cost-saving measure for their company
?€? More than half of respondents (52 percent) have opted for a mix of cloud-based and internal IT (on-premise) systems
