Does Your Company Have Hot Spots? | BTalk Australia
(Episode 323; 17 minutes 04) Lynda Gratton is a Professor of Management Practice at the London School of Business. She says when the right people come together in a business they can create Hot Spots. These are moments when innovation and excitement create exceptional results for a business.
Lynda has been exploring what creates these Hot Spots and whether their formation can be stimulated in any way. Her work is covered in two recent books, Hot Spots (download the first chapter here (pdf)) and Glow. The title "Glow" refers to the energy you can see in people when they are energized. She says this is when you have more fun, are more innovative and add more value to your business.
In today's BTalk Australia with Phil Dobbie Lynda identifies how to identify a Hot Spot and what your business can do to encourage their formation.
There is a chance to hear Lynda speak later this month at the Singapore Human Capital Summit in Singapore. Otherwise, sign up for the newsletter and join the Hot Spots movement at the Hot Spots website.
Please share your observations. What do you think makes a team fire with energy? Add comments in the Talkback section at the end of this post.
