Sony Executive Deputy President Kaz Hirai shows off a concept tablet during the company's CES 2012 press conference this week.

LAS VEGAS--One of my favorite CES pastimes is checking out Sony's concept products.

This year, the Japanese company is showing off two compelling Vaio computer prototypes, which should have you drooling. The first product is a rounded tablet with a separate, sleek keyboard. The other is a hybrid tablet/notebook with an ultra-thin docking station that includes a bronze keyboard, speakers, and a stylus.

Check out our slideshow of the two concept computers.

Yeah! So let's all dump those dinosaur-like technological paperweights we bought 3 months ago and rush out and stand in line to buy these new, improved, soon-to-be paperweights as soon as they hit the market!

The reason this garbage becomes obsolete so fast is because too many of us take it as a statement of self worth to sport only the newest, most up-to-the-second garbage. Pathetic.
