This advice is relevant for Elaine, in IL, a widow with large amount of money to invest, JD in KY, who needed a second opinion about his financial advisor and the portfolio itself, as well as John in CT, who recently sold his business and wants to know what he should do with the proceeds.

Jerry in CT is worried about a dollar collapse, so we talked about defensive strategies, while the most defensive strategy of them all went to Edwina, who is faced with earning less than 0.5 percent on her checking account or paying off a low interest loan.
