PhoCusWright Chairman Joins Travel Innovation Summit Winner's Board
(MoneyWatch) Apparently the perks of winning PhoCusWright's Travel Innovation Summit are greater than advertised. On November 8, I was surprised to see Interactive Mobile @dvertising (iM@) win the Travel Innovation Summit since I wasn't convinced that they would be able to get enough people to download their application. I thought there were better contestants, like Wandrian. But iM@ won, and then one month later, a very familiar name was announced to chair their board.
There were 10 judges that picked the winner of the Summit, and PhoCusWright Chairman Gene Quinn was one of them. On December 8, he was announced as the new Chairman of the Board for Interactive Mobile @dvertising. Looking at the release, he does appear to be a decent fit for the company, but it does have to make you wonder about the timing of all these things. Coincidence?
