iCrossing Lays off 30 Despite Landing Troubled Bermuda Account
(MoneyWatch) iCrossing has let about 30 employees go, according to AgencySpy. The lawsuit filed against iCrossing by Agency.com is tearing iCrossing apart, allegedly.
Possibly. As you can see from this former iCrossing employee's blog, there's a healthy debate among iCrossing folk as to whether life under boss Don Scales (pictured) is dandy or a nightmare. Two sample comments:

Is it ICrossing's fault that we attract your employees and clients because we offer a better place to work and better services with better ROI for your clients? Stop the whining. Lawsuits will not make you a better solution for your clients or a better workplace for your employees.
Why are you defending these jerks? Every other agency in the valley knows their bad rep for working people to death. They don't want you working long hours but keep piling on the work with shorter deadlines, then make you feel there is something wrong with you because you stay late to get your work done. I hate the place.Meanwhile, iCrossing has landed some new business, the Bermuda Tourism account. That good news comes with a major caveat: The account is the subject of "controversy" at the client (the Bermuda government) where many seem to believe that the business isn't exactly above-board. Most recently, the lead offline shop on the account, GlobalHue, has taken to using the Bermuda premier's office as its own pr unit to rebut allegations that it got the account for racial, rather than professional, reasons.
