I've always had a soft spot for gold, because my first job on Wall Street was as a gold options trader on the Commodities Exchange in New York. Nobody ever asked me about gold back then, but today's record-breaking price has piqued the public's attention. Even the security guard at the CBS Broadcast Center was picking my brain on how he might get in on the action.

With all the hoopla, it was time to discuss with CBS3 why gold is rising and how investors who want to participate should do so.
