Defense Earnings Summary
(MoneyWatch) Several major defense contractors have reported earnings for the last quarter and here is a roundup:
Lockheed Martin -- 2008 revenue of $3.22 billion on sales of $42.73 billion (Associated Press)
Boeing -- Revenue of $12.7 billion on sales of $66.4 billion. (Boeing) Only $32 billion are defense related sales. (Los Angeles Times)
Northrop Grumman -- Earnings of $(1.28 billion) on sales of $33.9 billion (Los Angeles Times and Northrop Grumman)
General Dynamics -- Earnings of $3.65 billion on sales of $29.3 billion. (General Dynamics)
Raytheon -- Income of $1.7 billion on sales of $23.2 billion. (Raytheon)
L-3 Communications -- Net income of $929 million on sales of $14.9 billion. (L-3 Communications)
Of the Top Ten Defense Contractors from 2007 not reporting yet are Fluor, KBR, and SAIC as there fiscal year does not end on 31 Dec. EDS is now part of Hewlett-Packard.
