Federal Government Able to Buy Products from SPOT Image
(MoneyWatch) The SPOT Image Corporation was placed on the GSA Schedule American Surveyor reports. This allows any Federal Department of organization to purchase products from the company at fixed rates. SPOT imagery may be used by a variety of agencies including the Department of Defense. Overhead imagery of the quality that SPOT is capable of providing has a myriad of uses. It can aid planning of things as mundane as construction to assisting law enforcement and the military. The ability to purchase it quickly and cheaply as the GSA schedule allows will only aid these organizations in their efforts. The GSA schedule allows the purchase of all types of products and services at pre-negotiated rates and allows Federal organizations to contract quickly for these products.
