In 1982, Harry Reasoner took 60 Minutes cameras behind the scenes at the Vatican and filmed TV's first good look at how the Vatican is run. We think it's a rare peek into what a day in the life will be like for our newly elected pope.

by car_umba March 19, 2013 12:29 PM EDT: This 1982 Reasoner video "Inside the Vatican" shows just how far back the bias against the Catholic Church has instructed 60 Minutes reporting. You put Marcinkus as the balancing opinion against the - by your own descrption - liberal priest that informs the backbone of the report? I can understand the difficulty even a respected reporter as Reasoner had in researching the issues - the basis of the male priesthood and others - and in understanding a unique organization as the Catholic Church. Yet thirty-one years later I don't see any progress on the part of CBS or the 60 Minutes team in the understanding of what the Church is about.; Reply to this comment
