"It felt like a train on a bad railroad track," is how Neil Armstrong described the 1969 liftoff of Apollo 11, perched atop a massive Saturn V rocket, heading to the moon. "And it was loud. Really loud."

Armstrong, who died at age 82, spoke with Ed Bradley in 2005 about that journey and how he came up with his famous line: "One small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" as he walked out onto the lunar surface, the first man ever to take those steps.
