Onstage, backstage & offstage with Michael Buble
Michael Bublé's new CD, "Christmas" is the number one album in the country this week, a dream come true for a kid who grew up listening to his grandfather play Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" and other classics from the crooners of another era.
But the 36-year-old Canadian entertainer does not take himself too seriously, as Laura Logan found out when she profiled him on "60 Minutes" in her piece, "Michael Bublé."
The fun continues on Overtime, with Bublé and Lara cruising backstage on his Segway, competing at ping pong, and on stage together during a rehearsal, where Bublé tries to get Lara to sing along with "Cry Me a River." Although Lara is reluctant, the audience certainly is game when Bublé asks all 8,000 of them to give a big shout-out to 60 Minutes. Says Lara, "He clowns around like that when he's not on camera, as well as when he is on camera. It's his personality."
It's a quality that Bublé's Argentine wife Luisana Lopilato certainly seems to appreciate in her husband, as the two tell Lara a very funny - yet very personal - story of how they first met, a date that at first looked very unpromising . . .
