"The Hug Lady" hugs every single deploying and homecoming soldier at Fort Hood

(CBS News) Okay everyone, while we've been having a lot of fun with the videos up on The Feed today (and will continue to do so, I promise), I've got one for you now that is a bit more serious and sweet. I'd like to introduce you all to Elizabeth Laird, who is known at Fort Hood as "The Hug Lady". You really need to check this one out and may want to get some tissues ready just in case.

I... I think I've got a little something in my eye... one moment, please. Okay, okay, I'm feeling better. Really sorry about that, this one just really got to me in a good way. The very touching video was posted on YouTube in 2010 by Makro Slavnic who writes:

Elizabeth Laird, known as "The Hug Lady," by the soldiers at Ft. Hood, attends every single deployment and homecoming at the army base with one purpose: to hug every soldier going to or returning from war.

Elizabeth Laird has without a doubt earned herself a big triple-rainbow salute of amazing from all of us here at The Feed for her beautiful and selfless actions that should hopefully help to inspire us all.
