Do big cats purr?
(CBS) - Well, do they? It's no secret that we are cat fans here at The Feed, but even we don't know if big cats actually purr. According to this video, this short answer is: "It's complicated." Complicated!? But we have to know!
Guess we'll just have to watch this whole video (like we weren't going to anyway - it's filled with awesome big cats!) to find out.
This educational video comes from the Florida-based organization Big Cat Rescue, which their site calls "the largest accredited sanctuary in the world dedicated entirely to abused and abandoned big cats."
That is definitely a noble mission, and these folks clearly know what they're talking about. Had you ever really thought about what a "true purr" really is? Neither had we!
