Little girl totally blows us away with cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass"

(CBS) - Wow. Simply wow. I went into this video thinking I would watch a little girl perform an adorable attempt at singing Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass". I finished totally impressed by this girl, whose performance was more than just an adorable attempt. Watch and see.

Don't get me wrong, the performance is still totally adorable, of course. But the young girl in question, Sophia Grace Brownlee, can actually really sing!

They sang Nicki Minaj's Super Bass in their princess costumes and Ellen brought Nicki Minaj out to surprise them. They performed the song again for Nicki and when the older girl sang the line "He cold, he dope, he might sell coke," even Nicki Minaj looked a little uncomfortable. I'm so mystified by this fame-seeking-society in which we live. Truth be told, I would love to be famous, and someday when I have a child, I wouldn't mind if he/she caught the eye of a casting director and was put in a commercial/television show/movie. However, I don't agree with little girls who should be playing with dolls being exploited on the internet singing mature lyrics My mother would not have let me listen to such music when I was that age, let alone perform it. It dissappoints me that the powers that be in certain media outlets, which I am presuming are highly compenated and competent adults)find this to be acceptable and are writing positive articles and inviting the kids to be on television shows. Nicki Minaj gave the girls some positive advice. She told the girls to stay in school and that education should be first and music should be second in life. At least someone gets it. Not mom, not dad, but it takes an eccentric sexified pop star to try to provide some sort of sensible advice in the midst of this bizarre I-Want-To-Be-Famous-No-Matter-What-It-Takes world.; Reply to this comment

It's as if the kids are running the media. And it's not even the good kids, its the little rude self-indulgent ones.

The only one that appears rude and self indulgent is an adult that would call a little girl that name based on a video she made singing a song she likes. Also stating that it fuels pedophilia? She is dressed like a little fairy tale and there isn't one curse word in the video. Chill out people or watch something else-your words a fueling hate and ingnorance~

I mean Sophia is clearly talented and adorable but I wonder if this started as simply 2 little girls playing and having fun into something more, that appears to be mommy exploiting her daughter for fame and recognition?
