LOL: 4 "horsepower" Amish vehicle tows 18-wheeler

(CBS) - Question: How much horsepower does a vehicle need to haul a big rig truck? Answer: Four.

Here is a quick LOL for a Friday afternoon to remind you that sometimes "old school" is the best way to approach a problem. The short caught-on-tape clip shows a four horse-driven Amish cart literally towing a HUGE 18-wheeler truck out of the snow in the midst of a storm. I wonder if AAA covers that?

AFTER the truck is unstuck, the tow cable/strap/rope connecting the buggy to the truck gets tight, which actually raises the buggy's wheels off the ground. So if the tow cable/strap/rope had actually been tight, instead of slack, the buggy's wheels would have been off the ground while the truck was moving. Which they aren't.

So I question the veracity of this video.

However, that's just exactly the kind of thing I'd fully expect someone of the Amish faith to attempt to do: help someone.

So I don't doubt that the Amish man stopped and offered to try to help. I just am not sure I'm buying that it actually worked.; Reply to this comment
