(CBS) The first man to have a baby is at it again.

Thomas Beatie has given birth to his third child, according to RadarOnline.

The Oregon dad - born female and now a male after gender reassignment surgery - gave birth to his second son last week, according to the site.

"He's got light brown hair and blue eyes," a source close to the family said, according to RadarOnline. "He's very handsome and adorable, and he's big and healthy."

Beatie first made headlines in 2008, when he announced that he was pregnant. He gave birth to a girl, Susan, that summer and a boy, Austin, a year later.

Beatie, a small businessman, underwent surgery more than a decade ago. Like many "transmen," he chose to have chest surgery but not what's called "bottom surgery."

His wife Nancy was unable to bear children because she had undergone a hysterectomy, so Beatie held onto his internal reproductive organs as well.

Doctors weren't sure whether a transgendered man like Beatie, who had taken testosterone for at least 10 years, would be able to bear a healthy child.

Beatie seems to have answered that question - in triplicate.

But he soon may not be such a rarity: The New York Post reports that a California man is expecting to give birth this month.

I think its wonderful what Thomas is doing for he's wife,They love each other so much.In my book it dosent matter that Thomas was born a woman than became a man,if chooses to live that way its he's life in my opinion let them be.Thomas and Nancy congratulations on your baby and i hope you both have many more.

Seriously, why does it matter so much to you guys if he calls himself a man or woman. It doesnt hurt you to call him a man like he wishes to be call. It doesnt change your life or even affected it. And to assume that his children will need "help" when their older is stupid, a lot of heterosexual couples mess up their children lives. I glad that their third child is healthy.

Sorry...but once again you have it wrong. It's not a pregnant "Man" and no matter how you try to spin it, it will never be so. These are sick and self absorbed human beings who have no regard for the children they are bringing into this world. It's not for love of the babies, but love of themselves. There oughta be a law.....

Can we PLEASE stop calling this person a "Pregnant Man"????? She was born a WOMAN...chose to undergo gender alteration...and while physically may APPEAR to be a man...still has the internal female reproduction organs. A man can not get pregnant. Plain and simple.

I find it unconscionable that the news media is so quick to reclassify gender, when an operation 'does not a person make'. No matter how we may think we are manipulating sex, the reality is that the plumbing and mental imprinting that goes along with the entire package cannot be changed because of a surgeon's scalpel. This person is not a woman and never will be, no matter what medical manipulation takes place. News media: Call it what it is.

Since I read about this person getting pregnant on this site before, the shock fator from the headline wasn't there this time. Mrs. Beatie can have all the surgery she wants, but as long as the plumbing is there, she's a female. In fact, even if the plumbing was removed, she still would not be a man; at best she'd be a genderless "it." Hormones, hair, and lack of breasts do not make one a man.

I'm extremely happy this baby was born healthy considering all the risk associated with continuously conceiving after giving up the "femininity" that is required for a relatively effortless birth. This child is unfortunately never going to have a static male role model to understand it's OWN body, as this woman is still TRYING to learn herself. God help these psychologists who are stuck trying to help these miscreants that waste public resources trying to swim against natures current...

I agree with sparta23! The media is always trying to to have the most incredible story! This is simply a women who chose to rid herself of what she was born with on top, cut off her hair and allow her pits and face to get hairy! This person is not by any means a man!
