Sheyla Hershey, World's Largest Breasted Woman, Fights for Her Life After Radical Surgery

(CBS) Sheyla Hershey, a Brazilian model living in Texas, has never been shy about her proportions. After dozens of plastic surgeries, the 29-year-old mom now claims to have size 38KKK breasts, the world's largest, according to the Brazilian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records.

But now, Hershey's breasts may have put her life on the line.

According to Fox News, Hershey contracted a staph infection during her most recent breast implant surgery. The infection has now spread to both breasts and doctors sent her into surgery Tuesday morning. Her implants will be removed and possibly her real breasts, the network reports.

Staph infections, if they spread to the bloodstream, can be fatal.

"I had large fever and painful. I just couldn't breathe properly; it was terrible! I was in bed all day, couldn't get up," Hershey said, according to Fox.

Hershey's out sized ambitions have put her at the forefront of a medical controversy. How much is too much?

According to ABC News, she was forced to go to Brazil for recent surgeries because Texas law prevents inserting more than a gallon of silicon into the human body for fear of toxicity.

"I want to look better each day, every day," Hershey told Houston station KRIV last year.  "Everybody's got a dream inside, you know? And it's good when you can make your dream come true."

Hershey's dream has finally become a nightmare.

I don't understand all the haters. Yes, what she did wasn't very smart...but damn, kicking somebody who is suffering for their actions isn't any better. Actually, it's worse. At least she wasn't hurting anyone but herself by her actions. The haters here seek to add insult to injury. UK banned performing procedures to enlarge them more than the ?M? they stated she had increased to, had she asked for MORE??? Where is this found to be accepted by any Surgeon who has studied Medicine, to engorge a womans body in such an unhealthy manner, and what type of mindset finds this becoming? Too many friends and loved ones are lost with the Infections which are commonly known to the tissue area with foreign substance from the bodys Anatomical harmony, and not enough talk about the unnecessary Deaths. When We participate in sports and recreation, we first lose much of the fluid in the area which ?give a bounce?, as many consider ?sexiness?; yet when women gain a few pounds and some consider Voluptuous the other areas which often ?fluff with us? are a turn off to some who are Vain.
Loving oneself is Key; and striving for Health of Mind, Body and Soul, particularly to prevent harm might mean something somewhere?
What Surgeons have done this and where did they practice? Implants were intended for those who lost their Naturalness due to the ?c? illness.
Staph Infections + Breast Implants = 100% of the time.
Most may survive the First onset of Staph, or it may linger for a while and hide in the glands to return someday.

Tsk, tsk. Dozens of plastic surgeries to have the world's largest boobs? Unnecessary surgery (well, any surgery) always has infection risks. There'd be a bit of poetic justice in her losing her KKK's along with what she was born with.

maybe they could stuff her in the broken pipe in the gulf to stop the oil leak, oh to late, bp already fixed it and it only took 4 months

Someone should tell her not to go swimming. Fake b.o.o.b.s. will make you sink. Then again, maybe a raging staph infection is worse...Sheyla should get tested to find out if she holds the Guinness record for the smallest amount of brain cells. I believe an ameba currently holds the title. It will be close folks!

Absolutely insane. If they manage to save her life, she should really consider treating her meantal illness.
