Palin's PAC encourages setting record straight on emails

CBS/Getty Images

In the Department of Obvious Next Moves, Sarah Palin's PAC now is encouraging supporters to join forces to go through the 24,000 pages of emails to set the "record straight" and show the "hard working governor" behind the messages.

SarahPAC's site quotes a post from conservatives4palin.com, which started the effort with the following plea:

"The media went crazy thinking they were going to find a smoking gun on Governor Palin by forcing the State of Alaska to release 24,199 pages of email communications during her time in office. They were wrong and have admitted as much. After the media spent so much time and effort, they discovered no "bombshells," which of course they were hoping for all along....

"The media is cherry-picking small excerpts to highlight, but they are leaving the bulk of the 24,199 pages out of their reports. That's where you come in...

"We need to gather links from the email database that prove what kind of leader Governor Palin really is. We need to find the stuff the media doesn't want the public to know about. We want to show the stuff they aren't reporting but is still available online. The media wanted to "expose" what kind of executive Governor Palin was while in office... So, let us oblige them! We need your help collecting and archiving excerpts."

Needless to say, SarahPAC.com says it encourages the "great idea."

Why is the left soooo obsessed with Palin? She holds no office, will not run for office, will not have any official standing at all but yet you folks are compulsively obsessed with her. Her ever motion is analysed, dissected and belittled - for what? What did she do that so enraged all the progressives of America?

And why aren't you giving half that attention to the man in the white house? His foreign policy has been abysmal and he has reversed course more than once. He has adopted ALL of the GWB 9/11 policies in tact, his economic record is worse than abysmal and he has been a miserable excuse of a leader - but you ask no questions of him. My assumption is those on the political left are reasonable, intelligent people. Why is it they obsess about a no power celebrity and total ignore the most powerful man in the land has he continues to bumble his way through all his duties.

The fact that this uneducated, airheaded, imbecile could even SNIFF public office is a comment on how far down the toilet our country has slid. We have let the fascist corporations seize the government and ruin our public educational system. And prop up extremist lunatics like The Quitter Palin.

Poor Lame Stream Media...all salivating at the mouth...just sure that a scandal would come from the emails. Turns out to be the biggest dud since Geraldo and Al Capone's vault.

DJ_Independent I think he must work for CBS because CBS is very good at publishing half-truths especially about Palin! There have been several instances when they published articles about her that only told half of the facts!

If she wants to set the record straight then she should allow the unredacted release of all e-mails.

Exactly! As usual, Palin and her acolytes try to hide the REAL truth....not unexpected.

Even without the emails, she is so past tense...her disapproval ratings are extremely high, and even the Republican party has turned against her. No "email dirt" needed to reinforce the fact that she is dreadfully incompetent and intellectually incapable of running a country.

san850 Wait until next month and then see what her approval ratings are. They may not surge upward but there'll probably be an improvement since nothing has been found in her emails. She so far has been shown as someone simply doing her job as governor and helping the people of Alaska.

Almost three years after they were first requested...I would be far more interested in the 2000 pages that Palin's lawyers deemed "private"

Yhe emails are scrubbed clean...with the dumb Palingaffs left in to keep it from being only a few hundred pages.

That's too bad! You are just going to have to accept them just as we had to accept Obama's obviously fake and doctored birth certificate!

The Quitta from Wasilla has demonstrated that she's really good at attacking anyone who disagrees with her, but has the thinnest skin of anyone on the planet. Don't dish it out if you can't take it yourself.

You liberals should remember that too! You know what they say about people who live in glass houses! They shouldn't throw stones because they'll get the stones thrown right back at them!

This is an extreme overreaction.

These e-mails were requested in order for information about a little know Governor, who had been on the job only a short time, to be properly vetted to the public as she had been tapped for the Republican VP seat.

Why do the people that support former Governor Palin make things worse for her in the general public's eyes by consistently assuming everyone has a reason to find fault in her?

It is the actions and words of Sarah Palin herself, well documented by anyone with a television, radio, internet connection or reading ability, that have caused Americans to form opinions of her.

These e-mails took three years to be released. This did not start with the run up to 2012, it started with the actual race in 2008.

Frankly, it is the supporters of Mrs. Palin that turn more people off daily -- accusing the media, while their favored one craves the media attention, please?

I have no strong feelings about her, but do not want her for my president. She does not pass the all important temperament test for me. I will vote Republican if Romney is the candidate, I will not if Palin gains the nomination.

I may be slandered for my personal opinion. I only hope those that slander an American for speaking freely are not also demanding their liberty to do the same. Hypocrisy is worse than slavery.

Good post and an excellent appraisal of Sarah. The people (including myself) that dislike Palin's incompetence and need for attention have NO problem with someone like you, it's the ones who slavishly admire her and defend her NO MATTER what she says or does that make her detractors question their sanity.

Lindag10 Again I say that you are just mad that they haven't found anything in Palin's emails that you can bash her with and you are looking foolish!

Haha, the media jackasses who are supposed to be so much smarter than she is got sucked in again.

I love these Palin bashers who come on here and say anything they want about her when a lot of them were the same people sanctimoniously preaching about "vitriol" in January.

obama couldn't stand the scrutiny she has lived with for years now. He is brittle but unfortunately he is protected.

gthog is right! If Obama had to endure the scrutiny and the constant attacks and the verbal attacks on his children that Palin has had to endure the last three years he'd resign!

After three years of "scrubbing" those emails squeaky clean, who WOULD expect to find any "dirt" on Palin? No need for an email to do that....she has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt how untrustworthy and incompetent she is.

I agree. Besides, I'm sure all the juicy stuff is in Todd's email. Too bad the simple-minded fisherman who wanted to force Alaska to secede from the United States is a "private citizen."
Lindag10 replies:

Who would even want to read this crap? Of course there's nothing in them that would even hint at a "smoking gun" after three years of work on them. Let the Palinistas read to their hearts content. Yawn.
