LONDONDERRY, N.H. (CBS/WBZ) Perhaps New Hampshire high school teacher Melinda Dennehy missed the orientation session when they explained that sending your naked photos to a student is sort of a bad idea.

Police say the 41-year-old English teacher sent four sexy shots of herself to a 15-year-old male student at Londonderry High School. The student, it seems, thought that was pretty nifty. Police say he forwarded the images to his friends.

According to police documents, the pictures were sent two months ago. Investigators say they obtained a copy of one of the photos and co-workers identified Dennehy.

The teen told police that Dennehy had "continuously sent him text messages," some of which were sexually explicit. He also claimed that she "kissed him twice on two separate occasions" in a classroom at school.

Dennehy, of Hampstead, turned herself in to Londonderry police Friday. She is charged with one felony count of indecent exposure. Hampstead is 30 miles northwest from Concord.

The mother of two has since been freed on bail, but was ordered to stay away from anyone under 16. Police do not know of any other victims.

Dennehy will be arraigned in Derry District Court April 30.

I think many would agree that guys would have used a lot less tissue if there were like her around. I bet some of his friends are saying, "IDIOT! We did you forward it?! Now nobody's gunna get any!"

I don't see anything wrong with this. The 15-year-old certainly doesn't seem hurt or traumatized. And I don't think it would be any more wrong if it was a man sending pictures to a girl. I'm sorry, I don't get why she was sent to jail.

dude really all joking a-side are you for real? have you been living in some sort of a cave or under a rock for the last 25years? the kid is 15years old-a minor he connot legally consent to anything weather he wanted it or not-it does not matter- and when an adult wether it be male or female perpatrates a predatory sexual advance apon a minor child wether male or female(does not matter understand?) that adult is going to anserew for deviate sex crime charges. undrstand now?

update to the update- in an even more related story now that mrs. perv. is not available for teenage hormone enraging- rosie and her five sisters will be offering some needed relief and things should be getting back to normal very soon

Seriously man you can't sit here and say that this kid was a victim. A 15 year old kid knows what is happening, you can call her a cougar yes, but a criminal, come on, I would have just shut up and enjoyed the pics. I was a recruiter, and the crap I would over hear those freshmen and sophomores say was straight out of skinamx. The average age of a kid loosing his virginity is 13. How old were you when you started looking at your dads playboy stash. Don't sit here and say poor kid, trust me he enjoyed them.

Terrible actions by yet another teacher. How can she be so dumb? She is demeaning the name Dennehy and trashing the name Melinda. Shame on her. Students should be able to trust those teaching them.

well, you could probably consider that her phone was hacked into by one of those nifty kids with one of those bluetooth sniffer floating around and synced up to her phone. it's highly unlikely if she has a good phone but you can check the data log sent out.

Here we go with the "she's a victim" garbage. If people saw her with bruises etc., why didn't they report it to somebody, and get her some help? I supposed this will be used as a defense. She had a bad home life so that's why she sent the pictures. If this was a man, people would demand that he be castrated.

If she were a man she'd get a lot more than a single count of indecent exposure, as well. She's been arrested for the same thing I'd be arrested for if I mooned a passing bus. If a forty-one year old man sent naked pictures of himself to a fifteen year old girl they'd stack the charges until he faced life in prison.

What are these idiots thinking? He's a fifteen year old boy. Of course he's going to tell everybody he knows. When I was fifteen, and I saw a naked girl, I told everybody I knew. That's what fifteen year old boys do.

She's a victim like all the other women who fall in love with teenagers have been victims. If she has a *****, she's a predator. If she has a vagina, she's a poor victim of her environment.

Sad. I think this would fall under the category of either "Warp" stupid
or just plain; "I hate myself so much, I will ruin my life at any cost",
or a little of both. I feel sorry for her kids and family for the
embarrassment this must have caused.
