WORST: CBS affiliate CBS13 reports that Roy Ashburn, a REPUBLICAN state senator from Southern California was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after leaving a gay bar with another man in the car.

WORSTEST: CBS affiliate CBS13 reports that Roy Ashburn, a Republican state senator from Southern California WITH A HISTORY OF OPPOSING GAY RIGHTS was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after leaving a gay bar with another man in the car.

Must lawmakers always support proposals that will benefit themselves personally? If voters don't like it they can oust him but it's not necessarily hypocracy.; Reply to this comment

If being gay means he "chose" an immoral lifestyle, which is what his anti-gay constituents believe, then he's choosing a lifestyle that doesn't represent his constituents.

If he's gay and born that way, which is what everyone except the right wing religious extremists believe, than he supported discrimination against his "own" and is a hypocrite.
