Bristol Palin Who? Super Famous Playgirl Model, Media Star Levi Johnston Skips Child Support Hearing

PALMER, Alaska(CBS/AP) Playgirl cover model and amateur hockey player Levi Johnston did not attend a court hearing last week regarding child support payments for his young son.

Last Thursday, a judge approved Levi's former fianc?e's request for child support at a hearing that was not attended by the well-known media gadabout. The amount has yet to be determined, but will likely be based on Levi's considerable earnings in the entertainment field - estimated at over $100,000.

Judge Kari C. Kristiansen informed Johnston's attorney that it would have been better if his client had participated in the hearing.

The nineteen-year-old mother gave birth to Levi's son, Tripp, not long after the Wasilla, Alaska native rose to national prominence, and is asking for $1700 a month in child support from the celebrity. Judge Kristiansen set another court date for Sept. 23-24, but urged the couple to reach an agreement before then.

by danbee3 March 2, 2010 4:04 PM EST: The hearing was "Preliminary" not evidentiary. No testimony would be taken. Merely procedural. His lawyer (Butler) probably advised him not to be there. A bad call publicity-wise, but probably won't affect the final outcome.; Reply to this comment

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that the actual father was some politico, or some rich campaign contributor, who "received a gift" in return for helping Sarah?; Reply to this comment

Same thing my Ex did to me.

She leaves, then says I have to pay support, but wouldn't allow me to see my kids, yet tells the judge I can see them anytime I want. I sent my regards via my lawyer for any court appearances. Never gave that wh**re a dime.

People MEN AND WOMEN need to start thinking of the child first, instead they want to punish the kids because they made the wrong choice in who they went to bed with. Parents should be paying 1/2 of the cost to raise their child if in a divorce or seperation from the other parent. Enough of this he can pay more or she has the money, NO the parents need to split the cost of raising the child in half.

Any MOTHER or FATHER that keeps the child away from the other parent should lose custody of the child to the other parent. STOP PLAYING GAMES WITH YOUR CHILDS FUTURE!!!!

By the way Been there Done that in my childhood, When my ex and I decided to get divorced my kids went to see him when every they or he wanted and we never had problems with child support. He couldn't pay so I paid for most everything, I was the parent first and foremost and never talked bad about him!

People need to GROW UP!!!
