NEW YORK (CBS) The Times Square billboard featuring Oracle president Charles Phillips and his jilted lover, YaVaughnie Wilkins, has been taken down, but by now the message is out.

Wilkins thought the couple was a perfect pair, reports the New York Post, except that Phillips, a high-powered computer executive, decided to rekindle his relationship with his wife Karen.

And with that, the adulterous eight-year relationship between Phillips and Wilkins came to an end. But the trouble was just beginning for Phillips.

A jilted Wilkins rounded up $250,000 and got revenge, said the paper. She put a billboard in New York's Time Square, one in Atlanta, and one in San Francisco, where Oracle is based.

All three showed the two of them together in better times.

"You are my soulmate forever!" read one. "Charles & YaVaughnie," read another.

The Times Square billboard was pulled down Friday, a day after it emerged that it was part of a lover's quarrel, the Daily News reports.

It's unclear whether the other two billboards Wilkins put up were also removed Friday, according the paper.

In a statement Thursday, Phillips admitted the affair. "I had an eight-and-a-half-year serious relationship with YaVaughnie Wilkins," Mr. Phillips said. "My divorce proceedings began in 2008... The relationship with Ms Wilkins has since ended and we both wish each other well."

Perhaps he hasn't seen the billboards.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Did YaVaughnie Wilkins do the right thing or go too far?

This guy is a real pig. He had an affair with my wife 12 years ago when she was working as his secretary at Morgan Stanley. A real bastard. Look at the way he has his hands around the girls ass. He is only interested in pleasing himself at the expense of others.

It is so easy for everyone to judge this situation without knowing all of the facts. Just imagine how you would feel if the man that you loved, from the core of your being, the man that you lived with in a beautiful mansion that you purchased together, and with whom you also traveled the world. Imagine that you had an entire life together with mutual friends, family, etc. Now add the fact that to top it all off your happiness was based on the "Fact" that you both repeatedly claimed each other as soulmates. Now imagine that he was keeping a secret from you and had lied to you for over 8 years about being divorced. Now vizualize how you would feel if that man suddenly and inexplicably walked away from you and left a hole in the center of your world. Now what would you do? Especially if you had the money to do anything that you wanted to do. What would you do? Just take it lying down? Or would you fight with the most powerful tool in your arsenal... freedom of speech. I personally feel bad for her, and I HOPE that she goes on Oprah to talk about it. P.S. Before you start speculating, no this has never happened to me I am very happily married for 16 years and yes Ive considered how I would feel if I was his wife...and by the way Im sure that I havent spelled everything correctly (its almost 2am),

She looks so stupid doing this. Only a fool can't let go like that. There are no promises in any relationship, even less when you are with a married man.

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats. Hm, that would make an awfully good song lyric.

I am not sure why this unhinged woman warrants any attention. She was openly sleeping with another woman's husband! She's deluded if she thinks she has any sympathy. She's no better than a groupie! Good luck to the fool who has her next.

Dear CBSNews.com, please hire an editor.
"For eight years, Wilkins thought the couple were a perfect pair..."

couple is a singular subject and requires a matching verb which in this case should be "was" as proven by the singular denoting article "a" following the verb. Second grade grammar teaches groups function as singular subjects (e.g. trio, quartet, couple, team).

Well, let me see, if a guy put up a poster of his ex that said: "You slept with my best friend you ****" somehow I doubt too many people would think this was the right thing. It would actually be considered harrassment and stalking behavior. (In fact, I do know a guy who did this, except he named her and it was done with spray paint on a wall).
