NEW YORK (CBS) Porn star Alexia Moore might offer a "lesbian defense" when confronted with evidence that she offered to have sex with a man for $5,000, a Manhattan district attorney said in court Wednesday.

Photo: Cassandra Malandri also known as porn star Alexia Moore.

The curvy Moore, whose real name is Cassandra Malandri, was "dancing" at New York's "Big Daddy Lou's Hot Lap Dance Club" in 2008 when she, along with fellow stripper Falynn Rodriguez, allegedly offered an undercover NYPD officer a "threesome" for big bucks.

The two were arrested and are on trial.

Quick-thinking Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Daryl Reed noticed that many of the x-rated movies Moore has taken part in were of a Sapphic nature, and wanted to make sure that those in the courtroom realize that she also likes men.

"There have been allusions that she only deals with women, sexually," Reed said.

"We should be allowed to call her so-called fianc? to rebut her," Reed said, according to the Daily News, referring to a man that Moore is said to be currently dating.

Defense lawyer Ikiesha Al-Shabazz says the prosecutor's scheme "doesn't even make sense," and the logic that lesbians don't have sex with men for money is just "faulty."

The trial was to continue Thursday.

This one could get Moore complicated.

Omg.. That cop has nothing else better to do than "She tried to sell me sex?"
Go to a bar, by a girl a drink and get sex... Legal
Go to a bar, give a girl the cost of the drink... Illegal.

That makes LOTS of sense.

Doesn't anyone else think it's kind of bizarre that paying someone to have sex with you is illegal, but paying someone to "escort" you (when there is a 100% chance you will be having sex with them) is legal. That paying someone to have sex with you is illegal, put paying someone for sex if you make a movie out of it is legal?

How about the fact that it's illegal to pay someone for sex, which doesn't hurt anybody, but it is legal to buy cigarettes, which kill 500,000 people each year.

The 'punny' comment closing this article demonstrates clearly that the author and CBS editors are strictly following Brooker's formula for reporting the news - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtGSXMuWMR4 - Hard to believe what the BBC elitists get away with over there, what?

what a waste of tax payer money. Cops should be spending more time fighting real crime. If a woman wants to sell her body she should be able to. It's her body.

"...many of the x-rated movies Moore has taken part in were of a Sapphic nature..."

Movies where the characters sit around reading poems to each other ?

That's what Sappho and her friends did.

"Lesbian Defense" for Porn Star Alexia Moore In Prostitution Case?

--------

O.k.

Here is the problem:

If you get this woman in to see John Edwards, he will promise to marry her after his divorce is final. And of course after he has porked her several times.

If you cannot trust someone a great & wholesome as John Edwards, who can you trust ??

Obama ? Pelosi ? Reid ??

I think not.

I bet you put your trust in Gingrich, Sanford or Larry Craig.

Since this article was published, dancer Falynn Rodriguez had her case dismissed, and dancer Alexia Moore was acquitted. We should give credit to Judge ShawnDya Simpson for not being influenced by any prejudicial matter and deciding this case in an objective and fair manner.

Appalling that this is what cops spend their time on. Seems they just want an excuse to hangout with the degenerates of society... hey, birds of a feather flock together.

It's ridiculous to think that a woman can't be a prostitute because she is a lesbian. Indeed, many lesbians are drawn to the sex industry because of their ability to detach emotionally from their sexual activity with men. To them, men are for "business" and women are for "love". Also, many women (mostly heterosexual) are able to behave bisexually.
