Thieves reportedly nab $166K in jewels from NYC's posh Four Seasons hotel
Surveillance images of two thieves who stole jewelry from a display case at the Four Seasons Hotel.
/ NYPD via CBS New YorkPolice say the two men entered the Four Seasons hotel on 57th Street around 2 a.m. Saturday and smashed a jewelry display case in the lobby.
The New York Times reports that according to NYPD spokesman Paul J. Brown, the thieves made off with $166,950 worth of jewelry, including watches and a pendant and chain.
Police say one of the suspects is a six-foot tall black male, last seen wearing a tan trench coat and carrying a hammer, CBS New York reports. A second suspect is also a six-foot tall black male, seen wearing gray pants and a blue jacket, police say.
The suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on 57th street.
