Suspect dead after two small children fatally stabbed on Colo. ranch, police say
Remington Ranch Equestrian Stable
/ CBS Denver(CBS/WBBM) FALCON, Colo. - Authorities say two young children and a man identified as a suspect are dead after they were found stabbed at a rural ranch residence.
El Paso County Sgt. Joe Roybal said someone called 911 after discovering several people stabbed at the residence Wednesday night. One-year-old Scarlett Kane was found dead at the scene and 3-year-old Ryan Willhite later died at the hospital.
Roybal said 22-year-old Ethan Courrau, who is not the father of the two children, was taken to a hospital where he died.
According to CBS Denver, El Paso County deputies responded before midnight to the Remington Ranch Equestrian Stable, located northeast of Colorado Springs near the town of Falcon.
CBS Denver reports that authorities said they believe Courrau, who reportedly has some relationship with the siblings' family, is responsible for the stabbing.
Officials with the El Paso County Sheriff's Department reportedly say the stabbings apparently occurred in a trailer on the property where Courrau lived.
