(CBS/AP) PHOENIX - The judge in the trial for Jodi Arias was sick Thursday, delaying testimony in the Arizona woman's murder trial until next week.

Arias, 32, faces the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in the 2008 killing of Travis Alexander. She was set to testify for a seventh day today. Testimony will resume again next Tuesday.

Arias previously testified that Alexander beat her, cheated on her and coerced her into fulfilling sexual fantasies. Jurors also heard explicit phone conversations between the couple as Arias described Alexander as a deviant. Alexander's friends said she is lying.

Arias claims she killed Alexander in self-defense, but initially denied any involvement. Prosecutors say Arias planned a savage murder, stabbing and slashing him 27 times, slitting his throat and shooting him in the head.
