U.S. postal worker accused of choking 11-year-old girl at California park, report says
A U.S. postal worker is accused of choking an 11-year-old girl while on duty at a California park
/ CBS(CBS) Authorities said a U.S. postal worker was arrested Monday for allegedly choking an 11-year-old girl at a California park, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said 55-year-old Daniel Villasensor was arrested on suspicion of felony cruelty to a child and is held on $100,000 bail.
The girl told deputies that Villasensor choked her with his hands Monday afternoon for laughing at him when he accidentally entered the women's restroom to use the facilities. Villasenor, who worked for the Postal Service since 1981, was on duty when he allegedly assaulted the girl, U.S. Postal Service spokesman Richard Maher said.
Villasensor was placed on unpaid leave as the investigation is being handled by the Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Bureau, CBS Los Angeles reports.
