Joliet Murders: Four charged in strangulation and attempted dismemberment of two Ill. males
(CBS) CHICAGO - Four young men and women are charged with murder for allegedly strangling two friends in Joliet, Ill. and then attempting to dismember their bodies, CBS Chicago reports.

According to the station, police said the crime scene was so grotesque, even veteran officers said it was the worst they had seen in 25 years.
Police say Adam Landerman, 19, Alisa Massaro, 18, Bethany McKee, 18, and Joshua Miner, 24, lured Terrence Rankin and Eric Glover, both 22, to Massaro's home on Thursday. Once Rankin and Glover arived, they were robbed and killed.
After trying to dismember Rankin's and Glover's bodies, the four suspects allegedly continued to party, CBS Chicago reports. Police said they were notified of the dead bodies in the home the afternoon of Jan. 10, and when police entered, Landeman, Massaro and Miner were playing video games. McKee had left by then, but was arrested later in Kankakee, according to the station.
CBS Chicago reports one of the suspects is the son of an Joliet police sergeant. Authorities said the suspects were surprised they were caught and all four are charged with first-degree murder.
A judge upheld the $10 million bond for each suspect when they appeared in court Monday.
CBS Chicago reports the victims' friends said they believe the murders were racially motivated. Both victims are black. The friends also reportedly hinted that the suspects were on drugs at the time of the attacks.
All four suspects have a criminal record, but Miner's is the most extensive, including burglary charges in 2010 and child pornography in 2005. The other suspects' criminal records were mostly for traffic or curfew violations, the station reports.
